1. It has been started from the point that, the distances in game are not correct to the visual distance. That is, when the camera is in the first rank of a unit, (it is as if first person) - one cannot shoot at a soldier that looks as a dot on the horizon and hit him. He needs to see at least the full size of a person in front, even if very small as a silhouette, for to have a chance to hit. People who have had a gun course in real life know what I am talking about. Also example of range for the Brown Bess english musket, used from 1722 to 1839: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_Bess " The effective range is often quoted as 175 yards (160 m), but the Brown Bess was often fired en masse at 50 yards (46 m) to inflict the greatest damage upon the enemy."
That is how it has been arrived at a shorter firing range (40-50m) corrected to what the camera can see as a target which corresponds to the common historical usage. It is more realistic. To that it looks better, if positioning camera so that one can see what he does on the other side, people falling etc. And the camera set between two firing units, now one can look at both and is much better as a picture. If range is set at 160m doesn't do good for BAI as units open fire always from the farthest point away, and thus the whole battle goes from this range, which is completely how it hadn't been.

2. Second, since all mods so far have had such morale that, the units routed 5-6 times, and, while routing and returning, they were beeing shot to death by the standing enemy line, it was rather unrealistic. Especially pathetic it looked for the cavalry, that could never hit a standing line and route a unit, because it routed usually after 20 horses being killed. So the horses touched the enemy and routed. Then on returning they were shot. With such routing, and with cavalry in disposition, one could just slaughter such armies and it was no battle. All this has been corrected with x3 morale for the cavalry and x2 for the infantry plus other many morale tweaks.

3. Last artillery range has been greatly reduced. I don't know about realism but it looks better; and there is no use about this times' warfare to have artillery that acts like bombers. If you can't get used to it, any cannon mod will correct it without interferring with the other part of this mod, since the cannons are a bit separate.

This version is currently based on the Darthmod sizes and units. If you have other units in game, they will be affected only partially.

Included is a removal of noise in melees.

upd. Currently used only for Darthmod, for other see the Bourbon Universal BAI mod.
