I have to go into politics, seriously. Can't remember when last I got kissed and then told 'you are a lovely son of a '
don't do that man, it's a TRAP!

Fascinating stuff Flinn. Looking forward to reading more in the future.
soon You can't imagine at what level of folly we are getting now, I don't think I'll ever be able to report here everything, simply too much happening every day

We do only care about winning and our personal gains... And if we lost you shall not win too.
Oh man, if that's true

but you know, I'm coming from "business" which is not so different from "politics", so I'm not really surprised

Well another interesting well-written blog, thanks:)

And in fact I just posted it!

I hope you'll enjoy the reading, the absurdity of the politics is funny in itself, but sometimes it can reach epic levels, believe me
sadly, I already learnt that

thanks everybody for the comments, soon I'll post the part 2 "The Road to Elections!"
Now, I'm only a bit surprised:laughter: Oh and having a look at the actual workload on every administrative employee can be helpful too. Where I worked my boss told me that someone with a fulltime-job had in effect only worked a few hours a weak after pretending a certain job had much more workload as it really had and nobody noticed. And for more detailed questions you can always PM me;)

Looking forward to your next part;)

For any political things, I'm the wrong guy, the only thing I can say about that is when administrative workers telling local politicians that their ideas might not work they sometimes really meant that "the idea means a lot of work for me. So leave it, I don't wanna do it"
sadly, I already learnt that

thanks everybody for the comments, soon I'll post the part 2 "The Road to Elections!"

@ Flinn: I'm looking forward to it;) And that's good, someone who isn't learning anymore doesn't experience something new.
You can always ask me questions anytime. Right now I don't even know what exactly you are doing:D I might only give you suggestion on the administrative side as this is where I was working.
So... I had in mind to post this some weeks ago, but this is a very busy period... It's about 6 weeks since we won the elections and a lot of things have happened already, and I'm surprised of how fast things can move even in public administration, definitely I had a wrong idea about what was going to wait me.. if anything, if you have the chance of course, it's an experience everybody should be doing, because it will help you understand how "democracy" works in general and it's certainly a great personal journey, that can add a lot to your life.

I'll be posting more in the future, at first I'd like to tell you some of the funniest/creepiest talks and confrontations I had while I was talking with the people, I'm still laughing in some cases :D
A year ago I worked in the public administration of a smaller German town (but still much bigger than your lovely place) and I made a similar experience. Things can move fast if someone wants to get it done fast:D

Almost forgot, congrats on your (and your groups) huge win!

And as a side note, thanks for explaining the background and how the local elections work.
