The Mamelukes faction is one of the 14 emergent nations in Empire: Total War's Grand Campaign. It could emerge after a successful rebellion in Cairo, Egypt or Baghdad, Mesopotamia. The Mamelukes are historically unfriendly towards the Ottoman Empire and, should they declare independence, will usually go to war with the Ottoman Empire if the Ottoman Empire is player-controlled.
