Westeros: Total War - House Tully
05-01-13 | by Dan the Man

Westeros: Total War is proud to present its 7th faction preview, House Tully of Riverrun! House Tully is an old house from the Riverlands, but unlike many of the great houses in the Seven Kingdoms, it was never a kingdom in its own right, but raised up to lordship after Aegon the Conqueror incinerated Harren the Black and all his heirs at Harrenhal. House Tully's lands are vulnerably placed in the centre of Westeros, and it will take a cunning general who properly utilises his archers and river crossings to stave off the Lannister advance until help arrives from the North...

Dragon Dawn: The East Empire
04-10-13 | by Dan the Man

This is the Second Full Preview of a Dragondawn faction. Many people wanted this faction to be shown, so we have! Realeasing these factions is a joy to the team, and we will continue to do so. We certainly won't run out of factions, and the work will continue happily in the background, so they're good for everyone. Have a good look...ignore what you wish, and the second post is made separate so you know what's been seen elsewhere before. The East Empire is one of the biggest and greatets factions, but also incredibly dangerous - the pressure on their borders will make them a challenge!

We renamed the mod recently from Dragonborn to Dragondawn, mostly to ease the suffering of Skyrim fans.

1648 English Version
03-15-13 | by Hader

Finally the English Version is out!

The mod 1648 is settled in the period 1618-1648 of the wars in Central Europe better known as the '30 years war'. The battlefields of this conflict are all located in the area of the Holy Roman Empire, therefore the map encompasses it's dominion and the directly neighboring areas (Copenhagen-Udine / Reims-Riga). A high level of detail is guaranteed through 198 provinces and 27 (22 playable) factions. The pivotal aspect of the mod will be the struggle of the Kaiser with the counter reformation; protestant leaders being his main adversaries.

Foreign powers enter the game as spawning factions like Siebenbürgen or as invaders like Sweden and France. Poland-Lithuania (the Western areas), Denmark, Swiss Union and the United Netherlands have their part on the map as well, although their influence in the beginning will be more passive. The eighty years war between the Netherlands and Spanish Habsburg will also play a role in the overall war of that period.

A total conversion waiting for you to select one of 22 playable factions to write your own history in Europe's bloodiest conflict. Learn more about it here.
