Scotland as a faction ?

idk, it would be cool to get some scottish as a factioon or mini faction atleast (Like the English can recruit scottish millitia or something)

If we want England to recruit scotish milita couldn't we have an AOR type thing? If England conquers a part of Ireland or scotalnd they could recruit that specific unit.

Really notgoing for historical accuaracy in here then. Scots wheren't Celts, Scots were Scots who where Gaelic, much like most of Ireland. Celts is to broad a term to use to describe any faction during this time period. If you where going to call anyone a Celt it would be the Ancient Britons who are regarded as the Welsh and Cornish. Then you also have the Picts, a seperate branch on the ancient Britons......

Going on history I thought that a "Celt" was a habitiant of Britain or France. A teuton was from germany and an Iberian from Iberia (I'm not so sure about that one) A celt or gallic is from a gallic tribe and if I remember correctly gallic tribes existed in Britain and France.

No not really. Its a massive generalisation, like branding somoeone a Westerner. Does that mean hes the same as everyone else? Gallic peoples were generally irish, and the scots, a tribe from Ireland that invaded scotland and fought the picts (entirely different cultures) for dominance in Scotland. You cannot classify a faction in this mod as Celts as they are so different it wouldnt work. Its not Civ II. It would be like having an Arabic faction or an Asian faction.

“Technically” a “Celt” is a person that speaks a Celtic language, i.e., a branch of a bigger Indo-European family.

And the Celts not inhabited only in the British Isles and in France. They spread out by Central Europe, the Balkans, Anatolia, and they Invaded/migrated also to the Iberian Peninsula.

By the way, the term “Iberian” can be used in two ways:
Referring to the people (populi) that inhabited the Levant of the Iberian Peninsula;
And referring to all the inhabitants of the Iberian Peninsula.

I was thinking of the "celtic" peoples but the language thing works too

But why does Gallic and Gaul sound similar. If we are going to talk about specifique people and Cultures, the gallic peoples would live in Gaul. Going back to the main topic, as the historian of the mod I don't think we will be using the word "celt" to describe Ireland or Scotland in the 1200's. They both will be seperate factions named as such.

I meant an arabic faction as in a faction simplyrefered to as 'arabic faction' that covered all the arabic world. I wasn't saying including arabic factions is stupid as you seem to have read it.
