i tried ways to take things from the surroundings but my men cant seem to do so?? why?? i tried moving my men near it but cant pick it up?? any solutions??

when you conquer a territory with a resource in it, the resource automatically is added to what you can already trade when you build a trader or there is already a trader present in the settlement you just captured. Basically, dont worry about it, its automatic.

Yeah, check out your trade summary to find out which resources you are selling both internally and externally, and for how much. Shame you can't adjust selling prices so you can maximise profits, and make some settlements ultra-profitable.
