Ah yes, the American Civil War 1861-1865. Four years of bloodshed and carnage. My question is, why is it that the Confederates won some many early battles? Chickamauga, Both Bull Runs, Chancellorsville, Fredricksburg. The Confedrates virtually slaughtered the Federals for those starting years. Why is this? The Union Army had superior arms, training, experience, logistics, equipment, manpower. And yet they were slaughtered time and time again. Why is this?
