All quick/custom battle maps for single player *Updated 3/26

Updated 3/26: Pack is now compatible with the latest "Imperial Guards" DLC/Patch. Pack is in movie format. Delete any previous version from your NTW\Data folder, this will not overwrite; I changed the name to "Movie_AllBattleMaps.pack" to denote the pack file type it uses.

Didn't see anything like this available, so if someone has already done it, apologies.

This will make the MP only custom battle maps such as Waterloo, Austerlitz etc available to play in single player land battle mode.


*Installation* Use one or the other pack. First is a "patch" file, latter uses the Mod method.

Unpack the rar file using Winrar/Winzip/7zip/whatever packing software you may have that can handle rar files
Place the "Movie_AllBattleMaps.pack" file into NTW\Data folder (X:\Steam\Steamapps\common\napoleon total war\data)

Launch game, and enjoy.

Files updated. Several of the hidden maps were causing CTDs and have been removed. Armenian Canyon, River Crossing, and siege maps English Wooden Fort & Innsbruck Star Fort.

I can´t get this to work, i placed the mod file in data as well as the user.script.txt where it belongs, but in single player mod i see the same old maps.

Works great! This is just what I wanted now I can play a single player custom battle on the Waterloo map with large scale units. Thanks +Rep

I excluded maps,which cause CDT.Five MP maps work(just don't have front end pictures) and five don't.Historic battlefield maps all work 100%.

Oby, do you mean they caused a CDT when launching the battle, or just clicking through the selection screen? In any case, thanks for pitching in. I updated the original post's files with only the stock MP list, and no more CTDs on the selection screen. Will test each hidden map individually to see if they cause the map selection list CTD, and also see if I can find what bits they are missing and get any/all of them working.


Bucefalo, try the updated version. In my haste I posted a userscripts that was calling other mods as well. This may have been why the maps didn't show up. I don't know how the game behaves if there are mods being called that are not installed, but worth a shot. Very sorry for not catching that in the first place.

Since you updated this it works perfectly ive tried them all. Its good to have all the exrta maps for custom play

Great mod! It's great to be able to play more maps via single player. I just played Ligny and everything was great. I just thought I would mention one thing that's not a big thing at all: Friedland and Corsican Coastline maps have the same image on the main page. +rep for your effort here.

Thanks Baron von Beer, it seemed it was one of my mods which was conflicting with this one, i don´t really know why thought. But that was it, now it is working fine.

just tried this using mod_ but in " playbattle"/ custom battle the maps are still vannilla hope i have not misunderstood directions?

Well that's no good. I just uploaded a new version, try that. Changed it to a "movie" pack file, which many modders have said load more reliably. Hopefully that will do the trick.

It does not have a preview pic at the moment, so will show the pic of the last map selected.

It (Corsican Coast) was one of the hidden maps I had switched on, then removed until pinpointing some CTDs they were causing when selecting maps. Missed this one though, and since it worked fine, went ahead and left it.

Glad everyone is enjoying. The Historic battle maps may not be balanced, but IMO are much more interesting and most more natural looking. Just played Waterloo, 3 v 3 armies with mods/increased unit sizes, 27,000 troops on the field in all. Performance was bad, but the battle was..... wow.

DLC compatible version is now up. Delete previous version as this one's name has changed and won't overwrite, and plop this one into your data directory. I made it a "movie" style pack file now, so no need for mod scripts, etc, and no need for 2 separate versions.
