Well, I would like to discuss whatever there can be discuss about this movie; the ideas portrait in it, the story, the characters, etc etc
I have posted a poll to see how many people liked the movie, obviously, but I got to say something lol
I liked the movie, I thought it was one of the best movies I ever saw because it made me think, and as a 17 year old thinking of joining the army, it really gives me good thoughts about it and it helps me think of wether or not I should join the army.
Anyway, to start things off, I thought Barnes (the "Bad guy") could not be label as a bad person. At first one is always like "man, this guy is evil" but then I started thinking and I came to the conclusion that this guy just wanted to win the war, and even though he killed some civilians, that was justifiable because they were not cooperating.... but then again I do not view civilians as innocent people... but that is another topic hehe
The real bad guy might have been, perhaps, the guy who says to the main character (can't remember his name), "you're in deep trouble boy!" when he was accuse of falling sleep in the ambush, I found his words rather funny. Anyway, I thought he was the bad guy because he killed the civilian, not because he was trying to get information but because he did it out of vengeance... or rather anger...
ANd finally, I got a question; during the ambush, what was the object that they gave to the main character? something he was suppose to click?

Human beings will be happier — not when they cure cancer or get to Mars or eliminate racial prejudice or flush Lake Erie — but when they find ways to inhabit primitive communities again. That’s my utopia.
