Overview As some of you may know, several members of TWCenter.net, including Van Diemen and myself, have been working on retexturing the lineup for the United Provinces, also known as 'the Dutch Republic' or 'the Netherlands'.

Today is a very good day, as we can finally announce the release of one significant portion of our modification. We intend to release this mod in two different forms: the one you can start downloading today is called the Light Edition and the other is referred to as the Full Edition and is still a work-in-progress.

The big difference between the two different versions of the mod is the fact that the Light Edition simply retextures the existing in-game lineup for the Netherlands, whereas the Full Edition will add all sorts of units, such as Swiss Guards, Scottish mercenaries, German mercenaries, Dragoon Guards and many, many other new units.

If you want to learn all the details about this mod, I suggest you take a peek at the development thread in the Work-In-Progess forums, because in this thread we will simply post the download link to the file you'll need to download to activate the Light Edition of the United Provinces Retexture Project.

Video Still not entirely convinced? I worked up a little video advertisement for the mod and hosted it on YouTube. Take a look (be sure to click HQ for the best results), sit back, enjoy the ride and then decide if you're interested.. If you are, download, play and feel free to leave a comment, suggestion, constructive piece of criticism, or if you honestly can't stop the urge, a rant..

Compatibility Since the Light Edition does not add any new units to the vanilla game, you can use it with almost every other modification. As long as the modification you intend to combine this one with does not add new units for the United Provinces, you should be fine! Furthermore, this mod is also multiplayer compatible, since it comes in a patch .pack format, rather than a mod .pack format.

Installation Instructions Open the .rar file and extract the .pack file to the following file structure in your Steam directory: Steam\steamapps\common\empire total war\data

Use the Mod Manager to activate the mod and startup the game!

Credits Contributors to the release of this mod are:
- Jarnomiedema (historical research and texture artist)
- Van Diemen (unit creator for Full Edition and texture artist)
- KindredBrujah (texture artist)

Special thanks goes out to killerrabbit, Yoram777, Douanier and The Bro for providing additional historical source material.

Furthermore, I would like to thank Remo for his kind permission to use his Line Infantry Retexture for this mod. In the end, we decided not to use it, but the fact that he initially gave us permission is much appreciated.

Download Download mod .pack from MediaFire
