i will gradually work on making some more/diverse arrows/crossbows along with making javlins/ballistia's impacts permanent aswell.
Well for starters permanent arrows, file attached. flame arrows are not permanent, they will be later on minus glow effect. no screenshots aviliable(why is there a need, its arrows that dont disapear Some other ideas ill throw out there After the arrorws are done. The following wil lbe addressed 1."Evil(depends on your perspective!)" factions catipults will have the added diseased cow toss. 2.Cows will be replaced with decapitated heads 3. permant rocks from artillery, if possable. though no walls ofc, that would look errrr odd to say the least. 4. Forgot about these, but Permant axes Edit: If you are a modder and wish to use this in your mod, no permission is needed, no credit is needed. Just go ahead and use it for what you want.

This mod is brilliant!
I just did a test battle to see how this mod works, lol obviously most people won't be using an army full of Eldar Archers

Would be nice if there was a way to reduce the density/volume of the permanent arrows. It looks cool at first but gets silly after a while, kinda like in the screenshot above.

Well heres a battle on large, me facing misty mountains of which had 6 archers and as you can see or atleast to me it looks fairly realistic and not over the top. huge would just look about the same imo.
![]() Edit: anyway i will be starting on the mod next week, for this week im fairly busy and all the extra time i do have will be spent else where. i can however go ahead and start retexturing some arrow's for orcs'. i must look up what needs to be done first.

thanks for this sweet mod Apostle! Those dissapearing arrows always bugged me in TW games. Now the battlefields LOOK like there was a battle there, not just like a bunch of people fell over and died there.
BTW, if I put the mod in the same place for vanilla M2TW will it do the same thing? |

IIRC yes the impact file seems that it could work in vanilla, i think.
(i say i think because axethrowers are considerd javlins so i guess nothing was changed, ill look it up for you just to be safe.) but later on it wont cause more missles will be introduced.

Ok, So im still trying to get the new skin onto the arrow itself. with no luck. apparently GMAX is not the program that is good for such a thing since i cannot export CAS. i have milkshape but all of the stuff that is made for it doesnt work with missle CAS's, atleast for me.

I like the idea of the permanent arrows. The idea of catapults throwing heads is very pertinent if used to orcs. It would be nice to put terror into the heart of men.

Very nice little mod!
I'm going to wait a while until you add a few more things before downloading, like the addition of catapults throwing human heads etc. Btw, do the arrows also "stick" on the models themselves? I mean do you see guys with arrows stuck in them? Or only those that hit the ground? Just curious. |
