Welcome to Ancien Régime.
This is a realistic re-texture project for ETW. Since I love history and uniforms, to reskin ETW became a little hobby. ( I reminds me when I used to paint miniatures ) All the texture are based on history you can see this incredible source of information for yourself below. I began with France but Unfortunately (or fortunately) I like to spread myself and now, You can find all kind of textures to bring the overall visual aspect of ETW to a higher level. As you can see there's plenty of work to do and I'm already working on some more but I do It for my own pleasure... I'm still in the process of learning the art, I would be glad for any advise or comments.. Here is what is done fow now: ( last update 08-07-09) -Poland-Lithuania vo2 ( updated for patch 1.3) - Poland-Lithuania vo1 is out! ( see poland section for download) - Ancien Régime unit mod by isilendil France: Ancien Régime France V04 should be the final version ( well at least for a month or two Mouillard plates Ancien Régime France v04 is what you could call the core pack. It contain all the textures but the line infantry. After installing AR France v04 you still need to choose your linr infantry either from the AR French infantry package or anywhere else on the net. Ancien Régime France v04 pictures Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Line Infantry variants: Here are some pictures of the different line infantry available in the AR French Infantry Package: Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Poland-Lithuania: I did those textures as part of the Regalia of Nations project. The main source of inspiration for those texture is this book:http://militarist.milua.org/zolnierz_polski/pages/IMG_4423.html You can see here the pictures for the new uniforms Infantry Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Unlike France and Spain Poland Lithuania has no infantry variant for the moment, so all the textures you need are all in one patch and unlike the other textures you download them here: Download Link (v02 patch 1.3 updated) Spain: Unlike France, Spain is still work in progress. All Spanish textures have their own patch until I can set up a more complete package for spain but are all zipped together. For the present, I have used two main source that you can consult bellow... Project SYW:http://www.kronoskaf.com/syw/index.php?title=Spanish_Army NPDL Digital galery:http://digitalgallery.nypl.org/nypldigital/dgtitle_tree.cfm?title_id=614973&level=2&tword= Ancien Régime Spain textures: Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Line Infantry variants: Here are pictures of the available spanish line infantry variants. Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Minor Factions: The zipped package contain 2 patch files, one with the bavarian line and the other with the two hannover texture combined. Download link at the end of this post... Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Ancien Regime ETW unit pack by isilendil Isilendil has created a French unit add-on with the French line infantry from the infantry pakage I made. A little mod for those who want them all and cannot choose... don't forget to thank him http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=263493 Across the web... I don't think I can retexture all of ETW by myself ( unless maybe if I dedicate myself to it for many many years...) but I can find nice textures on the web made by other peoples that matches with mine ( having an historical background and pleases my artistic tastes, my director's cut Prussian and Ottoman Empire For both of them, I use Remo Prussian and Ottoman pack. I like Remo's textures for the color brightness matches well with my textures.( and Remo has also lots of creativity ) R-texture Project British For the british I recommand to have a look at what Legofinger and his team( Kave-In, Dynamo11) has done. British Re-texture Pack The Lego Pack AWI units+textures United Provinces There is one United Province re-skin out and it is one of the best made by Jarno and his team United Provinces Retexture Project - "Light Edition" (v1.0) Russia I suggest Hellfell work on TGOTRE TGOTRE light 1.1 Alternate French units Here can you find a link to Psycho V French Project. You can find for the moment a variant of line infantry and white grenadier. At the moment both pack are not combatible ( unless you repack the grenadier with Pack manager) but nice varriant ( if you know how to repack ) The French Bourbon Army This section will also evolve with time ... Install info: All those texture are now Patch.pack and you just need to extract them in your your data folder note: I put all thoses texture on-line to share with the comunity, Anyone is invited to use them as they whish, given proper credits. Hope you enjoy... Special Thanks: This is the hardest part for you always forget someone. So I won't start to list all friends and suporters But I would like to thank in particular:Radosław Sikora and Jan Chryzostom for the immense help they gave me with the pole uniforms. Janrnomiedema ( and his team ) Magnus72, Remo, Megasalexandros, Hellfell have also been all great source for inspiration. Many other peples helped out like Ziem, crepe100, KLA for uniforms template and other like Salvo or Roslolian but all the modding community deserve a big thanks...
