I would like to know who isnt going to buy ETW and why, and who is on the fence like me. And I would perhaps like to see a reasoble argument for buying it here to convince me.

I will of course try the demo tonight.

But at the moment I dont see anything different from MTW2 other than ship battles. I havent been up on the development of this game so I dont know all the details of what the game will feature other than reading the waffle on the official site.

The campaign map looks the same to me as that in MTW2. Is it different, other than some extra provinces and countries like India and the USA?

Is the battle AI better? The advanced tactics video looked pretty rubbish to me - the AI collapsed as soon as it was hit by some cavalry just like in MTW2. Why do people feel this is going to be much better now?

I am not too bothered about the ship battles .

I would be interested to hear peopels opinions about why I should buy this game and not save my money for Hearts Of Iron 2?

Would you like some cheese with that whine?

I think you'll find you're among the very few in this, it looks like it improves upon Med2 in every way and I can't wait to play it. Better AI, better graphics, a better economy model, less micromanagement, and more tactical freedom on the battlefield, and a truly global scale of play. What's not to like? PC Gamer UK claims that the AI is punishing on the battlefield, so until there's a consensus on the AI I'm going to assume the AI is at least better than Med2.

More foreign aid!! We've given billions to third world nations already, but for some reason, the citizens of those nations never see it (because we're not giving enough!). Thankfully, however, the leaders of those countries have reminded us that we need to send more - and it is our duty to do so, and their right to our money!!

If you don't want to buy the game, then don't buy it. No need for this thread.

If your a fan of the TW series, or at least liked the last game, M2TW, you should like this one. The demo is going to be the only convincing you're going to need. If you don't like the demo, don't buy the game.
