Ah crap, it won't be out here until next year. Suppose I'll have to watch all the old episodes again.

I wish Fox would do the same for Futurama as well...

That show is just as good as Family Guy (I personally think its better) and DVD sales of the seasons has shown it to be popular. Come on Fox, uncancel Futurama as well and we'll all love you forever, promise.

I'd love to see Futurama again. But as long as the average American TV viewer clamors for seeing the Hilton girls, Fox will still fill up their schedules with crap.

I think the problem is not only the average viewer having an intelligence less that a boiled potato but also the fact that the FOX executives seem to be imtimitated by creations such as Futurama and Family Guy. If you watch Futurama on DVD and listen to the commentary, the writers are constantly pointing out things that the execs though too sensitvie or they didn't get it or they were threatened by some ideas put forth.

Basically, they used their own insecurities as a reason to cancel the show. I guess thats what happens when ignorance is behind the wheel.... bugger.

IMO, Family Guy has got to be the funniest show ever to be cancelled. It's the utter stupidity of the characters that makes the show hilarious. In terms of laughability factor, it's right up there alongside The Simpsons.

Here's how I see it...
Premise: Genius
Originality: Genius
Characters: Genius (I mean come on, what's funnier than a baby that can speak normally but yet no one can understand him, except the talking dog, who people can understand clearly.)
Dialogue: Genius

And I heard Family Guy got brought back because FOX received so many letters asking about why it was cancelled, and that the reruns on Cartoon Network reignited an interest in it, that FOX simply gave in, giving the show a second life. It's a rare thing for a show to get uncancelled, so we need to make it's second go-round a helluva lot longer than it's first.

Futurama must return.

Family Guy is exellent but Bender is just the best guy ever lol. Well more like a robot. I mean he was the first to use the term meatbag to my recollection. Meatbag then got used in many different things like the excellent KotOR.

Yeah I think youre right....That was the first time Id ever heard "meatbag" used that way as far as I can recall. :grin

Ive pretty much stopped watching Futurama and Family Guy, since...well....Ive seen them all so many times, both on DVD and Cartoon Network. Its fantastic that Family Guy is coming back (this is seriously old news by the way...this was announced around Super Bowl time :huh ), but sucks terribly that Futurama probably never will. Maybe Groening'll come up with something equally as cool after the Simpsons finally ends.

It was announced over a year ago or more!

Both shows are excellent on their own merits, primarily because the writing is so strong and the jokes aren't shoved into your face like other American comedies. American Dad is due to start the same day that Family Guy returns (or so I heard), and after seeing the Pilot for that i've got high hopes.

Ah! Id forgotten about American Dad! That one episode they showed was great! I think the two (Family Guy and American Dad) are one after the other, so.....everything'll be good when May rolls around. :w00t

I've never undrestood why they(Fox, NBC etc. etc.) cancel shows like Futurama anf Family Guy, which are both excellent, but keep running shows like Will&Grace, which must the worst comedy show ever.

Oh my, how did you survive?

Seriously though, what are Chinese soaps like? Honestly, I never knew they had soaps or cared for them.... didn't think they really had the time for them. I bet they're pretty funny.
