The citymod is great because it finally regulates the explosion of huge cities by 200BC; moreover, the CPU AI is far less aggressive earlier in the game.
One question I had concerns the marian reforms. I'm a 204BC and most of the the roman cities (outside of Carthage and Rome) seem to stop growth in population at ~10,000. To get the Marian Reforms, you must have 6 Lautifina built in Italy; however, this doesn't seem possible when most of the Italian cities can't reach a size large enough to build a Lautifina. |
