Later today, I'll post a few screens of Camelot Knights from TATW: Python Invasion. Progress on the mod is coming faster now that Taro_M is making the models. Let's have a round of applause for Taro.

Um...yeah, sorry it took me so long to post screens in this thread, I'm just a tidge-bit lazy right now (as always).
Anyway, here are some unit screens.

Warning, big images.

These are the "mounted" Knights of Camelot:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Dismounted version:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

And finally, a french trebuchet crew:

Hope you enjoyed, images and units are courtesy of Taro_M (just in case any of you wrongly hoped I had finally learned how to model and skin).

Thanks. It's always nice to know ones work is appreciated. Also, I should note that I am still considering possible content for the mod's beta release, which is set to be released in one Kieran (a.k.a., soon, which means that work is going well, but the actual release date can't be discerned yet).

I'll be placing a poll in this thread. Select which units you want to see in the beta. I will not limit your choices, but please be conservative and limit yourself to ten selections. Also, we may need some original voice work for Python Faction battle announcements. I'm not sure though, so stay tuned for my decision. Keep in mind this is a beta, and a lot will depend on how much work we can accomplish with our limited resources.

Generals Bodyguard
Knights of Camelot (mounted wo/horses)
Dismounted Knights of Camelot
Singing Knights of Camelot (inspire nearby troops)
Knights who smack people with chickens (Chivalric Knights with color changes and a chicken "axe")
Spanish Inquisitors (ambush units, maybe an archer version)
Holy Hand grenadiers (long range super powerful)
Knights Who say Ni! (Long Range high damage Skirmish units)
French Guards (scare nearby enemy infantry)
Cow Trebuchet (throws cows that do same damage as rocks)
British army troops (gunpowder, very silly)
Gumby Squad (strong melee)
(possible)Upper Class Twits (too stupid to be afraid, they act as excellent combat troops due to their clumsiness.)
The Bateley Women's Institute (fierce demoralizing melee unit).
Black Knights (strong melee, with pending zweihander tossing) (model by Taro_M Check it out here.
The rabbits idea mentioned above would be good if it could be implemented. They would be the python uber unit.

The starting settlement would a castle in Britain called Camelot. Hope we can get someone smart enough to help us soon. Who knows, with enough help, maybe we could even add a blackadder faction!

not camelot, because they travel in the camelot. Maybe start the game when they reach camelot.

Actually, what I'm talking about are announcements like "The Gates is broken" etc. These will be done with a British voice. As for units, we could probably scrounge something up from somewhere. Still, thanks for the offer. We may need French Taunts by the end, for all I know. It mostly depends on our progress.

The possibilities are literally almost endless. All of these suggestions have potential for inclusion in later versions of Python Total War. Furthermore, the mod would make an excellent addition to almost any mod as a submod.

Fun things to do in Total war:
  1. Trample peasants to death with elephants (optionally with culverins)
  2. Burn peasants with greek fire
  3. Bombard peasants with mangonels
  4. Burn peasants with fire-arrows
Yes, I like my peasants...
Fried!!!

Wow, I really hadn't thought of that. Maybe we can give them two tiers of ships, as well as old men with pirate duds as an additional unit. Not until after the beta though.

Perhaps dead-parrot-wielding pet shop employees with the power of blatant denial? Once per battle when the morale gets on the shaky end of shaken you can reset the morale to "Eager", as the captain can simply persuade his men that their fallen comrades are merely pining for the fjords.
