what would you buy? Only one thing at a time please and you can go as mad as you want. I would buy the HMS Victory and kit it out with modern equipment but leave it looking the way it does and sail it to Monaco with a crew and go privateering for the Queen!

What would I buy? Certainly alot of useless stuff.

But if I were that rich I would probably go on a soul seeking sun journey around the world to expand mind and bring meaning and balance to my soul with the people I would meet and the places I would visit. Wasting my days as I enjoy other cultures and experiences.

Theres just ruins there now, but I'd do research and make it as authentic as possible. Obviously I wouldnt be able to build on that spot, so I'd find the closest land available in that area of the world and build there.

Yeah, im with Drexx, I would buy my own country. That has to be amongst the ultimate displays of wealth, when you can buy your own country and name yourself king.

I think I would buy CA, Relic, BHG and ES and make the ultimate (Strategy) gaming company, but I could also buy an army of loyal mercenaries, take over the danish goverment and turn Denmark into a new version of the Third Reich (Of cause without the killlings).

Isnt that post a bit contradictory, or did you mean for it to be that way? Princes were never fiscally sated, they always needed more money to fund projects at home and military expedentures abroad. They needed money so people would serve them, they needed more and more and more, for bribes and diplomacy, for political maneuvers...etc...

So to live like a prince, you would need that excruciating, sickening vanity and greed.

With that much money, I think I would like to hire people to constuct an old galleon/frigate style wooden ship complete with cannons and crew, which I would command as captain. I would terrorize the Great Lakes, firing my cannons at innocent boaters and fishermen, and eventually sail up the St. Lawrence River to bombard and take Quebec City.

I suppose that might take more than one ship though.

well if i was in my 40's/50's id retire but as i havent even begun to work properly yet i think what i would is just do a part time job, something fun like a retained fire fighter or a special constable (part timers), money wouldnt matter of course. i wouldnt do that a first, only once i was starting to get board (trust me after a few years you would get board, even wil a billion)

first id buy a house out in the country somewhere, have a gym and a cinema built onto it, plus an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, id also have a 2nd home in italy and a 3rd in hawaii, id spend spring in italy, summer in hawaii and the rest of the time in the UK.

id give enough money so that my direct family and my best friends could all have comfortable lives, id certanly make sure my parents had enough to retire on.

i would only give money to my brother provideing he did well, i dont want him to skip school thinking it doesnt matter, so he would have to do well in school to get his share in the money.

id give my best friends a million or two each.

and i give quite abit to charity (only uk charities)
