Favorite video game story lines?

Hey all. I was wondering what your favorite video game stories were, ones that really sucked you in and got you immersed in the environment. I'm bummed out about the Mass Effect 3 ending and I'm looking for a game with a good story that I can really get in to.

KOTOR and KOTOR 2 obviously, Dragon Age Origins and Never Winter Nights 2 are the ones i can think of right now.

Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Portal, Warcraft 3.

The Witcher 2 probably will go on that list as well.

The first Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Kessen 2. The storyline for the Imperial Agent in SWTOR. Both KOTORs. Freespace 2. All the Assassin's Creed have had pretty good story lines. Far Cry 3.

Any of the Elder scrolls games, far cry 3 is pretty good, mass effect series, KOTOR series, Assassins Creed did at first (specially the 2nd one) but the third one doesnt seem as instresting for some reason to me. Metal Gear solid series. The list can go on and on

I quite like Dark Souls storyline and the way it tells it. The way they had Sif remember you if you summon sif after saving him when you fight Manus back in time was kinda sort of amazingly cool I thought.

The Ezio Assassin's Creed games (especially when watching Embers at the end) were very emotional.
Red Dead Redemption was very emotional.
The Walking Dead was stupidly emotional.

Emotional games are the best! They're like good books and honestly I'd love more of them. It sucks that Red Dead Redemption isn't on PC though...

Never played the DLC. I only know that you save Sif or something. But why would he attack you later if he knows you?

Planescape: Torment

I'm kinda curious about that game, basically universal user acclaim on Meta. The graphics are a bit too old for me, though.
