Of course that could be changed, and by the way HappyCrusader it would actually be a good idea to expand naval combat and "colonization". And that ocean is a little bit too.. empty
actually, HappyCrusader is planning of adding the Broken Isles where the tomb of Sargeras is... but no town, just a cool look strat_model of the tomb

Yes, now I understand the moderators, this is pretty boring, when you just have to go to the first page of the thread and read the F.A.Q

Only glance is enough to say this mod is gonna be awesome. So glad to see that it's total conversion, not another crappy try to convert one game to other engine. But on this stage of building even at first sight this mod looks like not the barrel of tar mixed with a teaspoon of honey, but a barrel filled 50/50 with awesome pandaren beer and badass goblin ale. Nice things are nice, i don't want to tell 'bout 'em. Firts of all crappy parts of this mod is campaing map. No, I don't want to say it's terrible and you shoud burn it to prevent unlimited creeps breeding But although it is first version it is needed to be totally reconstructed. Taking WoW map as sample wasn't good idea. Use ancient WCIII maps from player's guide. They're much more suitable for global campaing. Alos, add a little bit more details as hills everywhere cause fighting over flat plains during all campaing is the most disgusting thing since STW. Map is also have to be not so schematical as it is now, in my opinion. The only thing i want to do with this mountains is to level them to the ground. There's no pleasure in moving great armies across such plains and mountains. Rebuild it and I'll be happy

Hiya everyone, I got my internet working again much faster then I thought so I don't have a bunch of map screens to show you just yet, but I should have one or two up tomorrow.

@Chordman

So, you hate my map do you? The WoW map gives much more detail than the WC3 map, detail that I need to make smaller rivers, hills etc. You would ablosutlely not always be fighting on just flat plains. Umm, you want more mountains? No mountains? Schematics? Please clarify.

Totaly reconstructed? Almost the same as doing a new map from scratch.

Well Theramore shouldnt just have a river, it was totally surrounded by water, not so close to the shore. its more like this -O. Barely close to the shore with one area. Idk how else to explain that. I added a pic couple pages back that you prolly didnt see.
As for the warcraft maps....They're really tiny having settlements being like an inch part of one another on the map. The maps also have settlements missing, and change in every campaign. I also haven't see any maps looking anywhere in the south or north of kalimdor. Half the eastern continent is missing as well, never being involved in the story.

And the Rusichki team got one too.

well, looking at your radar map it would seem that you do have more than a fair amount of ocean. this is bad for several reasons.
1. game-play. the AI does not handle naval invasions very well and there are no proper naval action in M2TW. it is simply a waste of space without any possibility of action.
2. to much ocean tends to cause crashes on low-end computers. large provinces causes crashes, large provinces with plenty of animated objects(trees, rivers) even more so. i suppose the animated objects are loaded per visible provices, that is why one can scroll around the campaign map and suddenly have a crash.
oceans are also "provinces" and the sea/shores is animated.

i suggest you enlarge the two main continents and pull them closer together, crop out the ocean to the extreme east and west. place as many islands as you have grounds for between the continents.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but will you guys make custom city models for the campaign map?
I never knew you
but in such times
that does not matter.

TheHappyCrusader, all right, all right... Just make regions a little bit nore original, add some hills to the plains, some foothills to the mountauns, make them less angular, more detalised and different from each other. I think the most disgusting is are ridge near Black Rock. WTF is this, man?
Your's faithfull, mountain-fag

p.s.Ironforge lands are awesome in winter.
