I am trying to play an online hotseat campaign in a medieval total war 2 mod but I can't find the saved games file.
I can't locate my saves for any of my MTW2 games or mods. Path I am using is programfiles/sega/medievalIItotalwar/mods/whichevermod. I can access my saves ingame in all mods and the original version. Only 3 folders in there custom, data and preferences. Tried creating a new folder called saves but I get an error when I try unpacking a winzip into there. Any suggestions as to where it might be or an alternate way of unpacking the saved file so that i can access the game.
Books are useless! I only ever read one book, “To Kill A Mockingbird,” and it gave me absolutely no insight on how to kill mockingbirds! Sure it taught me not to judge a man by the color of his skin…but what good does *that* do me?

Vista? users/username/appdate/roaming. Unhide all hidden files and folders first.

All savegames are in saves folders: one each in the ain folder, one for each of the Kingdoms campaigns, and one for each mod.
I gave you a partial path because I know Vista loves using it. If you are using Vista, do it this way: 1. Make sure you have full administrative rights to your computer from for C: down to the last file touched. Make sure you do it for every drive installed. 2. In folder Options/view, make sure you unhide all hidden and system files and folders. 3. In Computer, upper right corner, type saves. This will give you evry save folder there is on your harddrive.

Thanks for the suggestion Irishiron but I'm afraid it did not work. Yes I am running Vista, yes my files are unhidden, yes I know I must sound thick as a brick here sorry about that. I am totally lost I can't access any of my saves through the prescribed path and I get an error msg when I try to extract the game file into a folder named saves which I created in the mod folder.
I have already uninstalled the mod and reinstalled it. Any other suggestions or obvious oversights which I'm sure I have missed? I am the administrator and only person who uses this comp.

I don't know about you but before I installed the game I turned off the UAC and it will stay off even if I upgrade to Win7 in the future.
I have also fund that even with it disabled, I have ahd to go back to the C:, under properties/security, go advanced and take ownership of everything on it. Make sure everything gets inherited on the way down. I hope this helps and good luck.
