    I have been doing some major changes......starting the game with Europe as protestant......their churches starts as protestant.......however there are still religious characters at the start that are pesky catholic....

    Using esf editor....character array.....catholic_missionary|character_array.......how do i change this into protestant?......

    Now i have tried deleting the character but the game crashes at the start......am i missing something?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Finally the search method for this forum is rubbish so apologies if this has been asked before.

    Why do you need to update them ?
    I have no problem in making them in the DB tables and they work ingame..

    If you change the tech tree, for example the positions of techs in the tree it will affect the esf.
    Thats why it is a bad idea to do this changes in DB after finishing your esf.
    When the game save the next time your esf ingame it can corrupt it.

    I guess that is was Husserl meant and it´s correct.

    Hello everyone,
    could someone please explain how to change the Italian Campaign for longer playing time? I've been working on it for hours and cannot get anything to work. Does anyone have a startpos.esf file they wouldn't mind giving me? I am playing with The Rights of Man 2 mod.

    I have a problem. After a hybrid startpos the camera in the game beginning over Ivory Coast. For all fractions - England, France and so on too. As it to correct?

    And help please how to change construction type :
    Craft_Workshops_Metal = School ?

    This is normal. To fix it you have to replace the CAMERA_MANAGER with one of mine (I suppose you have ETF). You will notice that mine has no subdirectory.


    And help please how to change construction type :

    Find the region and building slot you want to change and change the building type (use the right name no capital letters):

    Gents, I am trying to change diplomatic relationships between 2 of my protectorates.
    I believe the method outlined in this post

    should work with editing a save file, is it correct? Somehow EsfEditor gives me an error message when I try to save the changes.

    Any thoughts?

    Take a neutral record from another faction and replace both patron and protectorate records with that one. Do not forget to change the faction id. Here you can find some infos http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...04#post8460904. It is about making a protectorate/patron but the procedure is the same. Just use he neutral record instead of protectorate/patron. Also in step 7 you will enter 0 in x-protectorate.

    Having 2 of my protectorates at war is one of the most annoying ETW bugs...

    I'm able to make Bavaria a protectorate of France (for example), and it shows the new relationship properly in the Diplomatic relations screen in the game. However, when you cursor over Bavaria it still reads as Allied. Any idea how to fix this?

    HusserITW can we have a new tutorial on changing the names of the rulers please given CA seem to have changed this aspect of the startpos since the original tutorial appeared on this section of the website? Their names aren't in the Character Array any more.

    Nothing has changed. Faction leader is included always in Characters and in Family if he is a King. To find which Character is the faction leader go first in ...\FACTION\GOVERNMENT and get the id from the second POSTS_ARRAY in 3rd line. Enter code name in CAMPAIGN_LOCALISATION and then in loc pack add the on screen name (|code name|on screen name|False|).

    Have in mind that if he is a King you have to use only the first line in CAMPAIGN_LOCALISATION even if he has 2 names. In this case you'll enter full name in on screen name in loc:

    |startpos_entry_here|George Cromwell|False|
