Maybe van Buyten will be able to recover in the meantime (he was injured three months ago). Otherwise I'm afraid Anatoliy Tymoshchuk has to play central defender again (he did that for some matches under van Gaal)

Doesn't Tymoschuk have to cover for Luiz Gustavo though?

I suppose someone might call this year's final: "a final of loosers". Both Bayern and Chelsea messed up their national league titles and now to get to this final they had to foul everyone resulting in cards. Neither Bayern nor Chelsea has enough splendour this year to be considered "great" (like Barca and ManUtd last year)...

If van buyten plays, it might get close after all. in belgium he is known as van blunder (screw up).

I remember Demichelis and Van Buyten in 2009's final. That was awful.

I guess Kroos will play with Schweinsteiger in the midfield-center and Müller, where Kroos played yesterday.

Yes, Bayern and Chelsea got to the final by picking up yellow cards. Because yellow card fouls win matches and get you to the Champions League Final......

Oh, I thought that Schweinsteiger will be unable to play in the finals. Well, it is good to hear otherwise. Chelsea without Terry, Mereiles, Ivanovic and probably two other lesser defenders gonna have hard time. To be honest Chelsea needs a miracle in Munich.

Barcelona is great in the same way I used to be great in 90s fighting games by always using overpowered quick kicks. And Bayern is really good, which is wht they took down Real Madrid.

Without Terry? At least they've got rid of their loose cannon who just has a go at anything that moves.

But later on he said that his team were making progress as they'd won the Cup last year and this year's league.

To say that Jose won the Champions League with Porto 8 years ago, and can't win it now with Real Madrid and £300 million, confuses me on so many levels

That is correct, unless van Buyten is fit for the final.

Bayern may have a slightly weaker defense due to suspensions, but their offense will rip Chelsea apart in all likeliness. Anything could happen, but Bayern are pretty clearly the favorites here.

But Bayern München beat the favourites in their tie, too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they make those transfer before they got Mourinho?
