Nothing will ever compare to my favorite movie "Gettysburg", which I watched again last night.

Unfortunately now, I'm craving 3.0 like never before! I feel like Picket with no division right now!

I'm sorry, but I have never come across the 200 minute documentary. It was announced that it would be made, and there was certainly enough footage to make one, but sadly it never came about. The release date on the company's website still says 2006.
If you are looking for newer documentaries, all of which are very high quality (more so because I'm in them too) I'd check out Lion Heart Film works. (link below) They make great movies with thousands of reenactors at the big national reenactments. One feature length film was also made called "No retreat from Destiny", which is about the Confederate invasion of Maryland in 1864, and the Battles of Monocacy, and those around Washington D.C. I'll also post the link to the company which made the Antietam miniseries below

A little teaser of their work.
P.S. I'll send out some emails to other reenactors who took part to see if any copies of the 4 hour Antietam movie were made available.

On the Civil war in media and what not,

I recommend Bernard Cornwell's series 'The Starbuck Chronicles' of (currently) four books that covers the life of a Bostoner fighting in a Virginian Regiment, each book has a good flowing story regarding Starbuck and the other characters in the story, and all the books climax in one of the large battles of the civil war. The books are Rebel (first manassas), Copperhead ( Ball's Bluff), Battle Flag (Second Manassas) and the Bloody Ground (Antietam). Unfortunately, there are only 4 books at this time, but Cornwell has said that he would like to return to the series in 2013, but has not had time due to his other projects (such as the Saxon Chronicles presumably)

But yes, I recommend the Starbuck Chronicles if anyone wants to read a good series on the civil war.

With U.S. army recruiting theme, is this a recruiting movie?

Also, I seriously hope that you guys somehow get inspired somewhere to finish 3.0. The reason why I didn't get North and South is because I like a campaign to go with mods like this.
