As the Baltic Union has surrendered and Glorious Russia is "victorious", our 400,000 soldiers are no longer needed there. Admiral Habibollah Sayyari has been ordered to return our navy and the transport ships back to Bandar-e Abbas, where they should arrive in 7 hours. Once our soldiers have returned, they will currently be disbanded, until the Shahdom of Persia is ready to attack the Emirate of Persia.
Doesn't the BU still exist as a faction though? I thought Twilight just relinquished control of it, so it's now a strong NPC?
Edit: I won't be around for some days, so here is my last update until I'm back. When I start playing again I'll explain everything that has happened in the mean-time. Until then I hope everyone leaves my poor little faction alone :.
Official report from the Rostovian Agency of the Watch to Hegemon Bagration I, protector of the realm.
Hegemon Bagration.
This morning we received word that the last of the garrisons along the Saratovian border have capitulated. An estimated 15 000 legionnaires have been taken prisoner, and the rest have either been put to flight or killed. Large amounts of supplies and assets have been seized. General Kuznetsov has pulled his army southward, aiming to set up a defensive barrier north of Volgograd. He has taken with him a vast stockpile of supplies, leaving nothing else for the advancing UCR troops, although it is predicted that they will not continue the invasion until they are fully ready (we believe this will take a few more days). Two divisions of the Kalmykian garrison have been sent north to rendez-vous with the general and be integrated into the 10th Army.
These developments place our capital in a difficult position: The Krasnodan Navy continues to blockade the Hegemony's access to the Black Sea, and the state's economy is dangerously close to collapse, although the people know little of this yet. Inflation is continuing at a steady rate as our finances grow to rely on Ukrainian imports, yet the war keeps people working and facing outward rather than inward. Still, if the Saratovians send troops toward the capital when they invade for the second time (it would be a rash choice by all means, but we must be prepared if they take it), the Hegemon may be pressured to raise the Hegemonic Brotherhood in order to defend the city, which will only place further strain upon the economy. The Hegemon may also have to increase taxes within the only recently integrated Kalmykia, which will surely engender disturbances in that area.
In the centre, Field Marshal Petrov is slowly rolling back the now-desperate Stavropolian army, isolating and destroying straggling units as well as capturing war materials which have been left behind. With their supply line cut, the UCR generals will likely send their most mobile units to crush the two Rostovian divisions south of them, which risk being trapped between the retreating Stavropolians to the north and the advancing Cherkassian army to the south. The Supreme War Council has urged Lt. General Degtyarev (who is commanding this unit) to withdraw east and regroup with Petrov's main force. We have received an affirmative from the general, but this was six-hours ago and we have no word of his current status, the detachments radio silence leading us to fear the worst.
To the west, however, the picture is becoming clearer: We are pleased to report with confidence that the Krasnodan defence is finally collapsing. On both fronts of that theatre they are heavily outnumbered, and we intercepted calls for help from their leadership to other UCR forces, although these appeals appear to have fallen on deaf ears. Their troops are starting to trickle back in ever greater numbers towards the capital, Krasnodar-city. The Supreme War Council has put forward certain methods for reducing the Krasnodans and putting a swift end to the war, although the ultimate decision is of course the prerogative of the Hegemon.
- Primary option: Propose an ultimatum. The Krasnodans secede from the UCR, cease hostilities with the RH immediately (including raising their blockade of our sea-routes) and allow our diplomats to discuss their rendition.
- Second option: If this offer fails, we could use the Legion of the Air to bomb the capital and force the Krasnodans into submission. This would likely result in a quick victory, but would exacerbate the economic situation of the state, the hostility of the Krasnodans and the immediate military capacity of the Hegemony.
- Third option: Conventional assault. The city is easily defensible, and although victory will likely be ours in any case, heavy infrastructural damage would be caused to the city (although obviously not as destructively and indiscriminately as aerial bombardment would entail), and the Legion would sustain heavy casualties.
- Fourth option: Alternatively, surrounding the city with fire-bases is also possible, however unorthodox. A siege would cause less damage to the city and likely less casualties among our own troops if this was the method chosen, although it would also take more time (and thus by extension also being expensive) and place our troops at risk, for they would be spread out south of the Kuban river and therefore difficult to supply as well as vulnerable to attack.
Your obedient servant,
Pyotr Korskii, Chief of the Watch.

Under the patronage of the formidable and lovely Narf.
Proud patron of Derpy Hooves, Audacia, Lordsith, Frodo45127 and Sir Adrian.
@Inkie Pie: I'm not sure what Nutty by Nature exactly did, but considering that when a leader abdicates, the next leader looses control a bit and the country weakens. It would still be a strong NPC, but Ferdiad should be able to take care of it. Besides, I doubt the new leaders want to continue the war.
GLORIOUS RUSSIA is at PEACE.

We expand sightly beyond our fortifications into the depths of RUSSIA. While we have been embroiled in wars the REBELS have dug in. They are now calling themselves this the Peoples Republic of Russia(PRR).
We order a large scale advance to Riga while the Balts are still reeling from the assassination of their leader. We take 52'000 casualties to a unknown number of Balts.
Production of War Materials is being stepped down not that we are not at war, It will take several weeks to re-tool the factorys. The conscripts go back to to their jobs and the daily deficit RUSSIA has been in since the start of the war looks set to end as the Economy picks up and rationing ends. The people have stoicly shouldered all the burdens of War for the MOTHERLAND and now the rejoice. In the euphoria over the surrender of the BU nobody protests when PUTIN extends his Wartime emergency powers indefinably. Truly this is a glorious day for RUSSIA.

The Italio-Germanic Federation has reached an agreement With New Wales. In agreement for joining, we have declared war on New UK, and have moved 20,000 troops to reinforce them.
That leaves us with:
In Marseilles- 20,000 (100 Tanks, 80 Aircraft)
In New Prussia- 30,000, 10,000 being drawn to the front in Wales (150 Tanks, 120 Aircraft)
In South Germany- 10,000 (50 Tanks, 40 Aircraft)
In Slovenia-20,000 (100 Tanks, 80 Aircraft)
In Roma- 20,000, 5,000 being drawn to the front in Wales (100 Tanks, 80 Aircraft)
In Dresden- 40,000, 15,000 being drawn to the front in Wales (200 Tanks, 160 Aircraft)
In New Wales- 60,000 (300 Tanks, 240 Aircraft) (30,000 original rebellion fighting forces)
210,000 Troops total (1050 Tanks, 840 Aircraft)
OOC: Are these good numbers?

Okay I am sick of this. You can't just peacefully get an area. So no, Top Hat you can't purchase the Panama Canal. Xenoneb you can't gain Wales freely. If you want someplace you are going to have to fight for it or make a long and drawn out explanation of why it is joining, otherwise then everyone would say "Haha I amz franz aljeria wants ta be a parrt of ar cuntry" It does not work that way. You might say "Oh but these people are just dying to be liberated." No, unless they are under repressive governments it does not work that way. Most people hate the changing of the status quo. Until then, this New Wales is not a part of the Italio-Germanic Federation, nor can the Panama canal be purchased.
@The Nationalist
Please don't just say "I expand east" Where is the fun in that? This game is not supposed to be a conquer the world game. It is a roleplaying game first and foremost. If you want to conquer an area you are expected to give explanations such as who, what, when, where, why and how.

But I haven't even bought it yet. I was working out a deal.
And you contradict yourself.
" If you want someplace you are going to have to fight for it "
" This game is not supposed to be a conquer the world game."
Which is it?
As I've said before, this is not going to work unless we get some real rules.
"Rajadharma! The Duty of Kings. Know you: Kingship is a Trust. The King is the most exalted and conscientious servant of the people."
It's going to be far more complicated if anyone else joins.
Look, it's already confusing with the twenty different maps flying around. We need some sort of turn system in place. It's just not going to work otherwise.
We also need more rules in the OP. You can't just keep making rules up on the spot, especially since newer people won't see them. I mean, the "No Nukes" rule isn't even in the OP.
OT:Louisiana accepts the Italio-Germanic Federation 's offer of trade.
