[2] The small levy the Imperial Court had managed to raise was useless. The peasants fled the field after some time, and the enemy won the battle.

The Emperor was so fanatic with rage that the Imperial Courtiers had to hold and drag him away to keep him from personally beheading all the levy commanders, who dared show their faces after shamefully fleeing in defeat.

He was again prevented by the Imperial Court when he tried to risk his life and lead the army himself. The brother of the Son of Heaven is ordered to lead the Imperial Guards to the northern province. This time, we cannot afford a defeat, or the enemy will march on Kyoto itself seeing the lack of a garrison!

Oh yes, of course. Sorry for my mistake.

Damyio Hakanaka folded his legs as he sat down on the throne room. A messenger from the battlefield quickly hurried through the castle corridors. The servants opened the door. The messenger bowed.

'' What news? '' Hakanaka asked.

'' My Lord, General Sukarno has been successful in crushing the enemy. He sends the head of the enemy as his gift. '' He nodded to the servants as the severed head of the rebel leader appeared in front of the Takeda Damyio

'' This is good news, indeed, has he washed away all the enemy? ''

The messenger stifled

'' Not yet my lord, we have taken over the province, but we must finish them out before they grow too quickly to revolt. ''

The Damyio huffed.

'' Ten years of fighting and we have not progressed since the first shogunate. The Shogunate is nothing more than a bunch of fools who are locked in fantasy. Very well, Order Surkano to finish the rebels. We will not let anyone cross our paths. ''

'' My lord, ''

'' What? ''

'' General Surkano also wanted to tell you of your son's legendary achievement. ''

'' And what achievement was that? ''

'' He killed one hundred warriors in battle with the touch of his sword. Takeda Shingen proved to be a mighty warrior and general, my lord. ''

Hakanako smiled for the first time.

'' So he has shown he is no longer a coward. ''

The Damyio rose. His eyes scanned the room of generals sitting beside him.

'' Generals, we begin our conquest! No one will stand in the way of the Takeda. I expect you all to do your duty. ''

General Surkano scanned the letter. It read: No mercy. He nodded and then turned to Takeda.

'' What has father ordered? '' The young Takeda asked.

'' No mercy. '' Surkano said coldly.

'' You speak as if you have hated him for all your life. ''

'' Forgive me my lord, I didn't mean to offend you. ''

Takeda smiled.

'' Do not worry, he has always been like that. ''

'' Should we begin the attack, my lord? ''

'' Hai. '' Takeda nodded.

The drummers, taking notice of Takeda's signal began drumming in a rhythmic pattern. The banners of the Takeda army rose from the depths of the sodden earth. The spearmen, the infantry, the archers, the cavarly all stood poised waiting for the order to attack the rebel army which was nothing more than a small force.

'' Attack!!! '' Rose the cries from the army.

Ok, out of story mode , now I attack the army to gain full control of the province. May I attack another province or do I have to crush this small rebel first?

Oh and thanks for my doing my turn.
