Well, im playing RTW, M2TW, M2TW Kingdoms (+ KGCM, SS 6.3, CCM) and NTW while waiting for S2TW! Havnt really bothered with ETW in awhile now, i really enjoyed it but i enjoy NTW more.

Other than that, i may have a dabble on Railroad Tycoon 3 but thats about it!

You could always play Napoleon: Total War, or of course the original Shogun!

Alas, no original Shogun or Med for me, RTW was when i joined the RTW Fanbase, and thats Time Commanders fault for showing me the game, and showing me idiots playing it!

Time Commanders; I loved that show! Be great if they bought it back with Medieval II or Empire's engine!

I got into TW when I saw the Rome demo on a PC Gamer coverdisk and thought 'hmm, looks interesting - and it's definitely a change from C&C and so on' - so I gave it a go and loved it! Then along came the game which completely ate my life. Now RSII is making a damn good stab at doing the same thing!

Windows 7 seems to be very limited retro-compatability wise, so the games choice is largely restricted to titles produced within the last 12 months - ETW & NTW happilly proving to be exceptions. I'm playing GTA IV ( another exception ) & Fallout: New Vegas.

You know Windows 7 has compatibility mode right?
I played Caesar III a month ago so it's not Windows 7. Windows Vista is the one with the compatibility issues.

If you have a PS2 and a few extra bucks go buy Kessen III. It's like a really, really simplified Total War game and it's a good way to learn all the important generals during this period.
