Thread: Mod Manager for NTW

  1. #1

    Default Mod Manager for NTW

I updated the Mod Manager for NTW. As with the PackFileManager, the real credit goes to Matt Chambers, aka LtChambers.

    It requires .NET 3.5.

    Here's from Matt's ETW post:

NOTE: All files should remain in the same folder.

Are you sure it's MM? Does it happen when you launch from MM, when you launch from your NTW icon, or both?

I get the CTD when launching from MM??, have not tried from desktop yet as the user.script file needs to be created by MM, so i would imagine the same problem using icon

Do you have the common.dll in the same folder as your MM? That's what cause your error.

Thanks for the reply, yes i have all in the same folder.

MM is un able to find Napoleon.exe.
    I have another theory

My ntw game files have taken a rather unconventional route to my programs folder, i had to re install vista this week from disc and used an option to save all my files and folders.
All my NTW files were saved to my hardrive in a different folder and i then manually placed them in program files (x86).
Perhaps this is the problem , i may try re installing NTW from scratch.

    Cheers DJ

MM looks for NTW by checking the registry. If you have new registry settings and it can't find any references, it'll give you object errors like the ones you have. It wouldn't be that hard to manually add the correct references. If you want to try it, PM me.

Still does not work, it even skips all the mods when you launch via the NTW desktop icon?? user.script seems to be the only way i can play with mods

Sorry to hear that. I'm not really sure what to say as I haven't spent much time with MM. Hopefully I'll figure out what the problem is and get it updated.

One question: can you tell if MM is creating the script file? If so, would you be willing to attach it to a post?

    Thanks!
