I would eliminate the coats of arms of each corners because only represent a regimient of Aragon,Catalunya or Mallorca y not totally Rerimients of spain,The rest of flag look great!!!Would be more historic it´s saids for Spanish.

Yes SODK ,this flag was used for Spanish infantry from 1728

JFC, i would quit the 4 coat of arms in each corner of Spain Flag .Without 4 coat of arms would represent all Spanish infantry regimients and not one,The rest of Spain flag is awesome.

Wurttemburg,Greece and Mecklenburg Ok eager to enjoy 2.3!!

I do believe this solves the argument. Tidied it up a bit as well.
Royal Flags tend to be very 'busy' and cluttered. I was loathed to just get rid of the crests.

no problems. I have again added another version of the Mecklenburg flag on first post. It's a variation from the 1808 1st Battalion. Can't find any other examples.

Yes, I have noticed this too. On checking the file, I have neglected to change the file type.

If you have packfile manager, can you open the downloaded 2.3 and check if it is a mod file and not a release file. The file itself is fine...

To do this
Open ETF.pack using packfile mananger
Rightclick ETF, scroll to 'change pack type' and select 'mod'
Save and the changes will be seen.

******Note if you have downloaded this after 0045hrs GMT 21/11/09, you do not need to do this. It has been rectified.*******

I think this flag is not historical correct. Black-white-red are the colours of the conservative monarchists in germany.

The colours of the democratic republicans are black-red-gold. So, black-red-gold would be the more correct republican flag. (so vanilla version is more correct)

Another acceptable alternative is the republican version from spanky. This version looks more like a republican flag of prussia than of germany.:
