Hi, recently, my internet wasnt working due to a virus so I changed my computer from Vista
(English Version) to XP(non-English version). The internet still did not work, though. Then I tried to install Medieval II Total War. It installed, but when I tried to start up Medieval II Total War, there would be a black screen, and MTW2 would crash. Before, MTW2 worked fine. So, I changed my computer from the Non-English XP version back to Vista again. This time, the internet worked. Then I decided to try installing MTW2 again. It installed, but when I try to start it, it immediately turns black for less than 3 seconds, then crashes saying "Medieval II: Total War has encountered an unspecified error and will now exit." I tried reinstalling several times but it does the same thing over & over again. When you say you switched OS's do you mean that you did a full wipe and reinstall of the OS or are you running a dual-boot system?
What language version is your M2?
I'm not an actor - I just play one on TV

yah, I did a full wipe and reinstall. I have English Version. Also, the MTW2 demo duznt work for some reason...

When you reinstalled Vista, did update everything all over, again, starting with Windows Update?
Did you install directs 9.0c again? Did you update your graphics and sound drivers again?
