| Extended Realism This RTRPE-based mod is designed to provide a more challenging experience utilizing BI gameplay options and a complete readjustment of building costs/times. You'll also find a number of new AoR units, three additional factions, and a long list of add-ons and optimizations. |

On a few mods, such as D:TW, and this one, I find it difficult to play.
You may call me lazy, and tell me to change my monitors resolution, but I was wondering if there was an alternative means to solve my problems. I have a 1366x768 resolution, this one goes up to 1280x768. I use it in windowed mode, which may be a problem, but I find it easier to alt-tab. The problem with this is anything to the bottom or right side of my screen is impossible to use, simply because my computer reads my mouse as not on the R:TW window, but hovering outside. Is there a fix? P.S, I can't load a campaign, it tells me about not being able to find a region called Apaemia or something.
Rest in peace, Calvin.

Hmmm...what version of Windows are you using?
I'm afraid I can't help you with the resolution issue. I've never run into that one. Maybe try playing it not in Windowed mode?

I've found that RTW won't show me some resolutions until I hit the "detect" button in the lower right-hand corner of the main video options screen.

You can try entering your resolution into the preferences file ([your RTW dirctory]/ExRM/preferences/preferences.txt)

You need to make sure that the preferences.txt is not read only.
The other problems that you can run into is that with Vista if you install RTW to "c:\program files (x86)" then that folder is protected by Vista. If this is the case then any files you can change will end up in the 'virtual store' and you need to look there (to start looking for it just type in %appdata% in the run dialog box and this will show you a high level folder for this - the rest is fairly straight forward). There is information on this in the main RTR forum page. On my Vista set up I don't install on the 'C' drive and I've also switched off UAC. ![]() RTR VII - Betatester RTR VII FoE has been released: HERE RS 2.0 - Beta Tester Local Forum Moderator (Total War: Eras Technical Help) - please no PMs |

Maybe you could completely minimize your windows taskbar. So you'll only see it if you move your mouse towards it. But normally it will be hidden

It was on read-only, and I install my games into My Games tolder.
The resolution is not a problem anymore, just the missing settlement.
Rest in peace, Calvin.

I see.
You know, I've seen this problem before and I forget what causes it. It's always Apameia, 'cause that's the first one the game sees and finds out doesn't work. Are you sure you installed correctly?

Isn't it because there is an outdated map.rwm in ExRM/data/world/maps/base or maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion? @Hakomar: If there is one in any of those places, delete it
