Shogun/Medieval and 8600M GS

Hi. I have been aware of this 8000 series issue on battles for a year (since I bought my laptop which has a gosh darn 8600m GS). Some days ago my lust/craving/hunger for STW went at high levels after I read about a post a guy saying that MTW worked perfectly on his laptop which has same card as mine unlike his 8800 (I also read several other posts alike from users with 8600 gt and other 8xxx from different sites . Then I installed XP 32 bit over my Windows 7 x64 and tried tens of different drivers (not only laptop drivers also nVidia's forcewares from laptopvideo2go) but to no avail. Lol, I am working for more than 10 hours in 3 days just for nothing. I still hold a hope for a driver which will make me a world's happiest man at least for some moment. I am in desperate position, maybe *sobs* there is a single man among you who has 8xxx series who managed to play the game without any issue and will name the driver he uses. Thank you.

The OP has managed to play Shogun with pre 100 drivers which released late of 2006. This battle issue began to appear since April 2007 drivers and unfortunately my card released in May 2007.

People who have 8800GTX or 8800GTS may want to try 97.92 driver from laptopvideo2go.
