Variags have a restrictive AOR so are seen less.

And remember that people have been saying that Rhun is overpowered in campaign.

I have empathy for you. Losing closest friend is terrible attack on our psychological peace and balance. Regardless of your possible religious or non-religious beliefs - knowing that he is not suffering from cancer anymore can help you to relax a little.

As for TATW and SS, I am patiently awaiting that you remove those siege codes, cause I got CTD this time with SS too () on reloading on turn 4 with Khwarezmians and Germanicu5 wish that I praise or blame his new elephants. Not that I just need to survive CTDs, but also Mongols so I can face Timurids one day in campaign and confront and survive G5 elephants. (Yeah, tell him G5! )

hi PB, first of all sorry for your loss...

i think there might be something wrong with the garrison script cause i saw isengard conquering helms deep without the garrison script be activated...and another thing, rhun was destroyed around turn 50 and they had almost the starting settlements...i use toggle fow and saw that the setlements just turn rebel.

I don't know if it just me or someone had this problems too...oh and another thing rohan is being conquered very fast...i not know if it's relationed with the garrison script because the rohan settlements are always unprotected, just having 1\2 units while being attacked...

hmm, in campaigns, as rohan, i like to do bodyguard "duels". Rhun foolishly sent their khan alone on an invasion so i sent theoden with just one unit of rohan horsearchers to take him out. as the kataphracts approached, i sent the archers around their back, and about 60-80% of the khans bodyguard died before the rohan bodyguard charged them and sent them routing Borthand tried to run but my light horsearchers easily caught up with him. got a tidy ransom for him!

btw, condolences about your friend, i too have suffered deaths of friends and family recently.

Playing as Gondor everytime I defend against an army from Mordor with 2 or more armies, or if I have multiple defending armies I get a CTD when I begin deployment. I haven't had this problem with the standard Third Age mod, or before. Obviously it must not be common, but I was wondering if anyone had run into this before?

I'm running Windows 7 if that has anything to do it with it, but I didn't have any problems during the installation and can fight battles with only one army each just fine. 2 or more and it crashes to desktop sometimes leaving the command prompt window open. I was wondering if that has to do with one of the mods included in the pack?

Sorry for your loss as well man.

On another note though, in regards to the Economy in this game...is there any chance a can use the 'More Trade' 2.1 release with this..? It doesn't seem like i can, but i hate the economy in this version of the game. i love everything else, but i really hate the complete waste of space that is the 'market' buildings in this game...or maybe its just because i'm using RC/RR. Either way, I can see absolutely NO point in ever building them...Is it just because i'm the elves, and they aren't a profitiable race..?

I haven't played TATW for quite a few months so a lot has changed. I have never came across a Rhun army before because I never played Dale before.

Of course you are right about needing different tactics to take down a Rhun general, although not easy with only militia troops to call upon at this stage. I would not say that Rhun is overpowered though.

I have had a few other surprises. Such as the Witch King and his army totally ruin my Gondor campaign by killing my two full stacks in Osgiliath and Minas Tirith. Wow!!! Those Barad-Dur Guards. I mean how tough are they? Especially when there was half a stack of them with the Witch King.

Also playing a Silvan campaign, was quite surprised to see my archers wipe out a Nazgul and his bodyguard so easily. But then they just stood there and took fire from 6 archers units without moving. LOL

I did try to upload some updated versions via Megaupload but its not working for me tonight. Anyway I will be in various hotels so will try to upload from there as soon as possible, the changes are small anyway, mostly some potential bugs stopped and Germanicu5's latest BAI code and scripts.

Captain, sometimes people want to be engaged in work as soon as possible cause that can help them very much to temporary relax their pain.

Whatever is choice of PB - to engage work or to be absent for as long as necessary - both choices are quite acceptable for me, you and all friendly people here and he has our full support.

I love them for the light units they have, I'm currently at turn 60 of my Rhun campaign. For the first time I employed guirella tactics against the Dwarves - with an army of 3 Variag Raiders, 6 Balchoth, 2 Clan Hunters and a general I can destroy any Dwarven army in the field - no matter what they use. Sometimes I just throw all my javelins/fire all arrows and retreat. Then I repeat it once of twice and the Dwarven armies are dead
