i think late bodyguards would be better i can't see mailed bodyguards fighting advanced plated Gerdemes. Btw Advance plate wasn't invented yet when this mod begins so.

I had a lot of problems getting the colours for castille right. Here is the final result:

As a matter of fact, these are more or less the dominant colours spain had in later centuries (dark navy blue and white, with yellow and red ornamentation). this is the best solution I could find, after trying out a lot of things. I believe it actually looks quite cool. Banners and shields help to keep them well apart from similar (but not equal) scottish colours. Especially the yellow makes a big difference, although it only appears as a sideline.

I really like the Castillans dismounted knights. The colours are perfect for me.
Just one thing I've to say : the barded horses would look better with a lighter colour. That's just a suggestion.
Did you contact the team of the units I shown you in the other thread?

Glad you like them Romy. The dark blue was selected after carefull consideration, and after deciding that the lighter values were too close to France and Scotland. But I have actually seen several depictions of spanish knights using exactly this kind of blue, although to be honest, you never know how much of that came out of the imagination of the artist.

And no, I haven't asked about Burreck's skins. For the moment we are sticking to the vanilla skins, it's easier, we just have too much to do until the november release of 1.0

Here is an example of a nice contemporary image of Castillan knights fighting at the battle of Navas de Tolosa (1212):

You can clearly see that blues and reds are well present. If we made the horse barding and the knights this way, however, they would look exactly like the scottish ones in vanilla. In other images, dark blue seems can frequently be seen.

But in the end, we are not people who seek to go for the ultra realistic. The most important thing is that it is fun to play. If colours are not completely made up, well, that is a bonus.

They look very good! Congratulations!

BTW, I thought if there is a possibility to slow down canon fire. Like 2x? Because back in those days they had canons, but they were primitive, ocasionally exploaded and could only be fired 3x a day.

same starting position, but I have added provinces:

Navarra gets Alava (Victoria) and Navarra (Pompelauna).
Castille gets Castille (Burgos), Cantabria (Sanct Ander), Guipuzcoa (Bilbao), and Vizcaya (Donostia).
Aragon is left with the eastern part.

looks really promising!

When I was talking about the units , it wasn't about burreck's ones but about the french mod about the Hundred Years Wars on an other forum.

Just a quick update: this has been very quiet in the past couple of weeks.

That is because we are frantically working on the 1.0 version, which includes Breton, Scots, Castille and Navarra. Vas has been having some trouble with the scripting, as the AI turns to jelly as soon as you script it. He has been cursing a lot. We are attempting to find ways out of that.

Here is an image with some castilian shields I have done last week (they are mounted on burgundian troops here, as I have not yet inserted castille, and was too lazy to put the troops in):

The units available are displayed in this thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=272548 . Generally, we have limited the available units per faction to a minimum, compared to vanilla.

Note that 2 foot GBs of France will be removed.

?
I played the earlier version before. But you have to know that it is now possible to reconstruct castles en cities as it was during this period, see following link http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1308 where they are able to reconstruct 2 or 3 cities a day. And why not including Scotland?
