ColdFire's Empire Total War Gallery

I used to post many pictures in RTW, I never did in M2TW for various reasons. But I would like to make a come back with Empire Total War. All the pictures will be posted in this post, but I will make a new post to remind people of updates. I will use spoilers so you can load with ease, I hope to include a short description and the date of upload (d/m/y UK format)with each picture. I will also use this symbol <*> to show which ones are my current favourites, this will also help to make it easy to locate the best (IMO), when the thread becomes more crowded. I welcome any comments and will happily accept criticism and suggestions.

Desperate Stab (27/02/09)

I think the stab looks a bit odd, as there is not much motion in it, blurring did not work. Please post suggestions for a new name, I dislike the current one.

Going Down with the Ship (27/02/09)

Unedited, except for cropping, a French Captain goes down with his ship. If you have any suggestions for an edited version, please post them.

The sinking ships were taken during a large battle, all effects were added with various tools.

Bloodbath on Deck (First version: 24/02/09, Current version: 25/02/09)

Taken from a one on one battle. I think the bit with the French Admiral's last stand is good, after killing that guy, he was hit by a club and knocked off the ship. The ship quickly surrendered after that.
Blood effects have been added when editing

Marksman (24/02/09)

Formed with two images,I am not sure if the image of the rifle man would be better in another place, please comment with advice.
The only editing here was the blood effect for the impact of the shot.

Redcoats (23/02/09)

I may make a series of these for different units and different factions, this was made with pictures from the demo. In hindsight I wish I had added the gold border around the whole picture, maybe I will update it at some point.

Did you add in blood? I dont remember it being so bloody. Not that that's a bad thing.....

Thanks, I am trying to add a picture a day. But I think I will do several over the weekend. +rep for taking the time to comment.

What resolution should I post these at, High Res, around 1680 by 1050, or a lower res so it fits on peoples screens better?

Well personally I prefer a bit lower resolution, but it is up to you. IMO your last picture's size is good. Enough large to see details, but it also fits smaller screens.

Last on list, or last posted? As the newest one is huge.

Maybe I should post them all in two resolutions, one at 17" screen size, as that is average size. and one in spoiler at 1050p, for people who want to see it at higher res, or have bigger screens. I want to get the basic layout of the the thread sorted, so it is easy to use. When I have >10 pictures I will start categorising them. Thanks for suggestions,

Also, for my two cents, I say the bigger, the better! I haven't been able to play the demo yet, so I'm drooling over all the new screens and videos!

Love your work on the pics! Especially the sinking ships in a storm and the marksman. Wish the real demo had weather effects and blood, but now I can see them as they should be viewed. Great work! +rep

Thanks guys, comments are a great drive, I have loads of unedited pic's that could be released as they are, but I want to touch them up at the weekend. So hopefully there will be plenty more to look at.

Thanks, I assume you mean, Redcoats and going down with the ship?

Due to popularity, I think I may make more that are similar to Redcoats.
