Changing/Removing Skins
Hi, I've been lurking on here for a week or so and I gotta say this is an excellent mod. There's just a few things I want to change in it (personal preference).
What I didn't really like are the skins for the heavy European horses. Before you would have that grid pattern or w/e but to me it looked good. I don't like the new ones for some units as much as the old ones so how can I revert back? I found files in StainlessSteel/data/unit_models/mounts, but I want to make sure before deleting anything.'
-Thanks.
P.S. For some odd reason the Timurids don't appear on the custom battle menu. Not a real annoyance but I haven't seen this mentioned here.

Re: Changing/Removing Skins
Try renaming the new skin files. This should make the program read the original ones.
And yes, 1 slot( the timurids ) was replaced by the templar faction.
Btw, where did you get your version of stainless steel 3.0?
I mean which link?

Re: Changing/Removing Skins
Hi Graywolf,
when you want the old vanilla skins for the barded horse (I assume you meant them), you can just delete those textures from the barded_horse folder of Stainless Steel...
And I had to unable one faction in custom battles, because there is a maximum of 21 factions.
However, you can enable them in the descr_sm_factions.txt file.
Under Timurids look for the line:
custom_battle_availability no
and change it to:
custom_battle_availability yes
But then you have to unable another faction, otherwise the game will crash.
I hope this helps...
