Thread: CTD while trying to start a Campaing.

Default CTD while trying to start a Campaing.

Hi. I have read only good about this mod. Tired of vanilla I decided to download to try it. Downloaded and installed 3.0 and 3.2 from Filefront, in the correct folder.

When I try to start a campaing (I set Hard/VH don't know if that matters) then I click on Play and it crashes to desktop. The error says "M2TW has encountered an error and now will exist".

It's a clean M2TW 1.2 patch english version. What have I done wrong? Any tips?

Did your installation of SS 3.0 went successfully? I have the same problem and later did i realised that the file from filefront was corrupted.
I asked for help but no response so far...

Thanks. Tried but afther deleting it when I click start the campaing instead of crashing to desktop it turns me back at the screen where you select to start a Grand Campaing, Custom Battle, etc.

Afther deleting the map. file now it gives me this errors in the log.

    Hi Amendan,

Your system.log shows, that the win conditions file is missing, therefore you get a ctd...
I'm pretty sure that you have installed SS 3.0 in the wrong folder.
Note that the SS 3.0 installer points by default not in the right directory, which is normally ".../programs/SEGA/Medieval II Total War".
Unfortunately the SS 3.0 installer points to ".../programs/Medieval II Total War".
The SS 3.2 patch normally points to the correct diredtory.

    I hope this helps...

I see you already noticed but probably is that Filefront file is missing something as others reported. I dind't notice untill now that I paid attention for more than 2 seconds to the window afther installing 3.0

I hope you can fix the Filefront URL becouse Megaupload has some servers that give crap speed. (Got 300ks from the filefront one)

Thanks for your answer. I'm sure this is a masterpiece mod.
