Ah, I see. I guess that's one of the advantages to being on a peninsula, east to defending. I'll have to start expanding!

I played once on normal strategy-difficulty and once on hard, and since im playing the parthians its nearly a nightmare now on hard. It's quite the same thing as Sarkiss described it. the computer thinks he can outtake my 800 pure cavalry army everytime and tries to do that by attacking with only 100-200 more.it seems to me like the AI is more aggressive/self-confident, but not smarter, cause he can't make a good picture of his own chances. he always underestimates the 100men-horsearcher units, cause they are few in numbers...
if i turned it now on VH the AI wouldnt be more precarious, attacks would surely be doubled by the enemy, but the difficulty would be the same, since full stacks are no problem either.
so, instead of a harder difficulty you get more gamelength and the same dumb AI-suicidal moves. wheres the point in setting to VH.
it would be nice if the AIs judgement would not only be based on his own aggressive potential, but also on the number of crushing defeats he already suffered, increasing their willingness to engage a ceasefire.
though impossible to realise i suppose![]()
