    Default Adding a new unit + most realsitic difficulties

    Since EB I've always played on VH/M due to the fact that on H/VH the AI would gain moral bonuses and stat boost which made the game far less realistic.

    However I was wondering what is the most realistic setting to play UAI mod with?

    Also, I intend to make the Mounted Longbowmen recruitable in the campaign and I was wondering since UAI uses the realistic building tree what would be the best building level to place them in.

    For example would it be more realistic to include them in the knights stables or earls stables?

    And I was thinking of adding the event trigger (Longbows recruitable) to them aswell so when longbowmen become recruitable so do mounted longbowmen.

    In Medieval 2 the enemy units no longer gets crazy unit stats on VH so I'd say VH battles is the only way to go for an experienced player.

    What about the campaign difficulty? Is it still best to play on medium/hard so that you can maintain alliances and your reputation doesnt get reduced each turn?

    No, it's also VH, cause I have completely changed the way faction relations work. There is no difficulty based artificial drop in relations, they are determined by your actions solely.

    Think I should add them to the same tier building that the dismounted longbowmen that longbowmen come out of?

    For example: Mustering Hall -> Bowayer -> Stables are all tier 1

    At least not by the hardcoded part. I redefined all preconditions for DoWs in a far more differentiated way than CA did. If the AI attacks then because it was told to under these circumstances.

    But you originally asked for faction standing modifiers (not forced attacks).

    Also could you give me your opinion on my second point:~
    To be honest I find the idea of mounted longbowmen fighting mounted very odd. The longbow is not suited for being used from a horse's back due to its size and design. Historically, the mounted longbowmen dismounted before they could use their longbows, but this is not supported by the game engine. So what is the purpose of this unit, and how will it fight?

    The mounted longbowman unit is already in the game and balanced by point blank in RealCombat, I merely wish to add it.

    Well, if you merely wish them to be part of the game, then I'd add them to the knights_stables and better (with same pool stats as mounted crossbowmen). Here the entries for knights_stables, barons_stables, earls_stables, and kings_stables.

    I added the entries above then tried to start UAI but it just crashes to desk top while loading up

    Okay got it working (anyway I can test the script works?)

    Did you modify the units costs btw?

    I say that because in custom battle they cost around 3k.. lol. Think you could give me some revised costs for them? Using your own cost system?
