Default Poor cavalry f.a.o King Kong

I would just like to say that i Love this mod to bits.

However i have noticed that the cavalry seem to be very poor no matter what angle i hit troops from.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
King Kong please reply to this.
I hold you in the highest regard, apart from this minor gripe your mod is perfect.

It's been hit and miss with my cavalry. Sometimes with a directly rear charge on an infantry unit, they do little damage, but other times they rip units to pieces even from the front. I took down 300 men with one unit of generals bodyguards, although I did eventually lose all 23 of 'em.

use the cav diff from in the vanilla game..... i find that using them like in mtw1 before viking expansion works great, if anyone played that they'd know exactly what i'm talking about

do you mean just charge past and thorugh the unit?

    Rather than charge at them

    Hi Hellmut,

First of all thanks for the feedback!
Well, I think cavalry works best whenyou deploy them in 2 lines and then charge the enemy straight from the front/left/rear.
I recognized that charges, where you hit the enemy at an edge of the unit, will be very poor.
You can also watch the AI how it uses their cavalry. In some of my battles, the AI made one devastating charge after another.
They really know sometimes how to make a good charge...

    Yeah that makes sense.

In my templar campaign i have been afraid to commit them, so from now on i will form two lines rather than the single line.

    Will give feedback on results.

Also like you said, the comp cav charges are devastating at times, maybe it's to do with this.

    Thanx yet again

    I bow in your presence.
