Default how to make a batch file/

    hi all
i am modding the unit size, but according to the unpacker manual i
need to creat a batch file for the modded file to work, i am a novice
and not sure what this section means can some one explain it to me?
    thanks

    - To use the modified files create a batch file in your
    Medieval II: Total War folder

    - In the batch file add the following line

    medieval2.exe --io.file_first

    - NOTE: Due to a timestamp check, the following unpacked files will
cause the game to crash and must be deleted before the game is
    launched:
    data\descr_geography_new.txt
    data\descr_geography_new.db
    - Save the batch file and then launch Medieval II: Total War using the
    newly created batch file.

Default Re: how to make a batch file/

first you need to have your modded files in the data folder.

Then, make a new text file called "mtw2.bat.txt"

since it's already a text file, type the line in it saying medieval2.exe --io.file_first
    save the file then exit.

Now, rename the file "mtw2.bat.txt" to "mtw2.bat"

If it does not change into a batch file, you need to do the following...
Go to the top where it sais the options, file, edit, view, tools, etc...
    click on tools.

    then click folder options.

    Then click view.

Then deselect the option "hide extensions for unknown file types"

    then exit.

Now rename the file to "mtw2.bat" and it should become a batch file.

Now go into your mtw2/data folder then delete the geography files if you haven't already.

NOTE: All of this is the assumption that you unpacked your files already.
