    - Norþhymbra (Having recently rebelled against their Viking overlords, Northumbria seeks to rebuild itself under the leadership of Ecgberht II.)
    - West Francia (The western division of the Frankish Empire, led by Charles the Bald. This kingdom would become known as France in time.)
    - East Francia (The eastern part of the empire, under rule of Carlomann, would eventually become the Holy Roman Empire.)
    - Imperium Romanum (The Byzantines, a remnant of the Roman Empire, were very fond of their Varagian mercenaries. Byzantium controls holdings in Venice and Crimea on the map.)

    FAQ
    (work in progress)

Is Wrath of the Norsemen dead?
    No!

When will the mod be released?
It has already released a beta campaign, development is continuing.

I have information about one of the factions in your list, how can I contribute?
Historical advice is always welcome, although some factions need more work than others. If you think you have an important historical contribution to make for one of our factions, please PM Horsa stating your area of knowledge.

What determined the choice of factions? Where is Faction X? What happened to Faction Y?
The faction list evolved over time, and was extremely fluid in the early stages of the mods development, which was to some extent a false start. A number of factions initially present were dropped. Some were casualties of an decreased scale. Others were dropped because of concerns about the time period, or because the amount of historical data was insufficient. Of course, anyone with information is always welcome to contribute with it if they feel it is relevant.

Updated with 3 new factions (!) for a more interesting campaign. The two new baltic factions is an interesting addition indeed, but the really big one here are the Franks. They will play a special role in WotN as the vanquisher of the pagan faith... stay tuned.
