For me, I'd have to say Definitly Spartan, and coming in second would have to bethe Corinthian or Syracusian.

One question tone, how long did it take you and the RS team to make all the wonderful skins among other features that were released in version 10?

I started skinning in mid-December last year. Did the Roman shields first then started on hoplites in early Jan - these took about a week or two - thanks to Spirit of Rob's original high quality skins and models...mainly a question then of changing the shield and recolouring certain parts of the rest of the skin. Gauls and Dacians probably took another few weeks. Carthaginians and Iberians took longer as I've now got into modelling too so some are new models not just reskins.

To be honest I'm not happy with some of the stuff I've done now, especially the Gauls and Dacians, partly as a result of the improvements I've made in terms of modelling to get things like full shield designs like you see on some of the celtic units I threw together at the last minute for the free people and slaves, so at some point there will be some going back and improving.

well, im sastified with them as I've only been playing this mod for a week and it is one of the best I've ever played, now I just have to wait a very long wait til hegemony city states comes out *sigh*

Tarentine, Creatan, Cyrenaican and Sicilian are all very cool. Going to make it my quest to have them all within my empire with Syracuse i think!

I wonder why the RS team didn't add in Theban, Thespian, or Boetian hoplites.

Well Thebes was destroyed by Alexander the Great and by the time of the mod there wasnt much more than a village on the site. Wasnt until about the 10th century that it became an important city again and it was due to the silk trade at that time

Well he never does say die hoplites but he never says that Rome(and be extension him) wouldn't be doing the killing.

Does this mean that dvk will be trying to *GASP* defeat some hellenistic factions! OH No!

And to be on topic I've only seen the Tarentum hoplites but they are pretty damn cool.
