Actually, marble is still there. But thanks, laodicea = marble. Cool.
sorry to ask but during the vanilla game i never looked about the resources. Which resources are in the game? i have a atlas with resources where i can look up.
glorious nation of kazakhstan number 1 exporter of potassium!!11
Resources that are present in M2TW. It's pretty limited for a map that's pretty much spans the entire silk road.
Code:type gold trade_value 20 type silver trade_value 12 type fish trade_value 5 type furs trade_value 3 type grain trade_value 5 type timber trade_value 6 type iron trade_value 9 type ivory trade_value 12 type wine trade_value 8 type slaves trade_value 8 type chocolate trade_value 15 type marble trade_value 10 type textiles trade_value 8 type dyes trade_value 8 type tobacco trade_value 15 type silk trade_value 12 type sugar trade_value 10 type sulfur trade_value 5 type tin trade_value 6 type spices trade_value 12 type cotton trade_value 8 type amber trade_value 12 type coal trade_value 4 type wool trade_value 6 type elephants trade_value 0 type camels trade_value 0 type dogs trade_value 0
And another thing to note is that all these resources are hardcoded. I cannot add any new natural resource.. I can only modify existing ones.
thanks mirage! i'll add tomorrow some information with the help of my Atlas.
How many resources can you add in an Area?
bye for now.
Pretty stupid that it's hardcoded, but a few edits I would suggest:
Alter Dogs, Chocolate, Cotton, Coal?
In it's stead can be stuff like Lapis lazuli (big in Afghanistan/Pakistan?),
Yes, also their was alot of Turqouise which can be seen in most of the mosques in Iran, Bukhara, Samarqand etc. etc.
All of the lapiz lazuli/ turqouise came from Afghanistan.
Also, other resources:
-Cotton from Egypt/ Silk
-Swords from India
-Muslin (cloth) from Mosul (named for Mosul, but originally from Bangladesh)
-Horses from Iran
Big.. no. HUGE.. yes. I'm surprised they're not making toilet roll holders decorated with that stuff. Well someone must have actually.
Jewellry, Chinaware, Precious stones, cotton, silk, spices, sugar, .... there are really endless items, but because you can't ADD anything it's best to look at the resource file (posted above), and then check what resources in that list were available and where.

For Armenia - Region Adana
The portal City of Ayas, known as "the Golden port of Armenia" and "the port of many ships" was one of the biggest cities and a bustling center of international trade and commerce of Armenian Cilicia. Documents, such as agreements, grants and trading treaties found in the archives of Genoa show the extent of trading agreements that existed between states such as France, England, Spain, Italy and City-States such as Genoa, Venice, Pisa, Florence, as well as eastern ties with Persia, India, China, Arabia and as well as many other cities and states from all over the world many of the Genoese and Venetian traders established themselves in the commercial districts of the city-port of Ayas and conducted businesses with traders from all over the world. These traders, in a decree issued as early as in the reign of King Levon II the Magnificent [1199 - 1219], had their own markets, their own clergy and were governed and judged under their own jurisdiction. The location of Ayas in of itself were of vital importance for the growth and expansion of the Kingdom. The revenue generated from Ayas, made up a large part of the total budget of the Armenian State. Precious goods such as carpentry, jewelry, wool, leather, precious stones, exotic metals, weaponry, dies, exotic spices and foods were traded in the world renowned port of Ayas.
the info i found was about Ayas (Portown which lies south of Adana) but the resources here should go for Tarsus and Sis also.
I propose:
Sis = Wool, Dye
Adana = Spices, Grain
Tarsus = Textiles, Cotton
i'll look for more
Can't wait to send merchants to India!
a pity that CA hasn't added more resources
and for armenia proper:
Ani = Wine, Furs (Armenia Proper is said to be the homeland of wine)
Erzurum = Grain, Wool (Random for that area)
Van = Textiles, Cotton (Known for rugs and so is Sivas - according to Marco Polo they made great rugs)
i'll return with info on Edessa, Malatya, Diyarbakir and Sivas
But i can say that the most random resources for this area was agricultural stuff and textiles

grain= Ankara, Adana, Malatya
timber = Sinop,
textiles = Daryleum, Smyrna, Tarsus, Adana, Sis
cotton = Smyrna, Laodicea, Nicea

it is sad that there are no Olives as resources.
lol - i second that
tx for the info qarama
but honestly there are a very small selection of resources.....
i wonder is it possible to change some of the existing resources....
resources like 'dogs' would be great to replace with some oriental stuff (precious stones) or if myself and qarama would decide Olives
and tobacco is not in our timeframe
amber = i think there isn't much amber in the middle east (most amber is found in norhern europe i think though not sure.....
Sulphur = north of the black sea (Ukraine) and east of the caspian sea (Turkmenistan) .....(ps: sulphur where used in gunpowder)
