The minimum is the same as RTW. The suggested requirements are about the same but with more RAM that you needed to run RTW smoothly. EB will always run slower that RTW because of all the added content.

I cant't play this unfortunately. I installed RTW outside of Program Files, I am not running vista, had 1.5 patch installed and then installed EB 1.1, validated the install and the freakin thing doesn't work. It launches the game, but never makes it in. Just crashes, no error report no nothing. A clue anyone?

How long did you wait? EB takes an awful long time to load, and the loading bar does not display any progress. If you haven't got a whole load of RAM, it can take 5 to 10 minutes. Incidentally, please post bug reports in this forum.

It's not like that. The screen goes black and crashes me back to the desktop after 2 seconds. I've reinstalled RTW, and I seem to have found the problem. I applied patch 1.2, 1.3 and 1.5. While 1.2 was fine something happens with 1.3 and I don't know what. Plus, when i add 1.5 now it asks me for a CD-rom. The fact to the matter is that my RTW original CD's look like cryptyc writings due to overuse. So what, do I need a crack for 1.5 patch? Do I need 1.2 also? Or do I need only 1.3 and 1.5? Suggestions anyone?

P.S.: Sorry for being a nuissance if I am.

P.P.S.: Problem solved, i just borrowed the game from someone who doesn't play it anymore. The mode is awesome, good work guys, thank you, and end topic(topic not thread).

Mousing over the names of the formations, it seems that EB 1.2 uses Darth or Sinhuet's Formations, but when I use these formations they go back to the vanilla formations. Did I have a bad install or was this intended?

:hmmm: Huh? EB uses neither darth nor sinhuets. EB has its own formations...

Hello there, I've just downloaded EB and before I start the game I have a question about that: what is going to happen when I reach AD 14?

Is EB going to crash? Can I continue anyway either, maybe, let's pretend, endlessy?

Doubt is, AD 14 the very end of EB or just a formal date to pass by?

    Thank you anyway.

At AD14 you'll probably get a victory/defeat screen without the option to continue. Make sure the script is activated and you'll have 4 turns per year, meaning you'll long be played out by the time you even get near the end date. I haven't ever heard of anyone making it all the way to AD14 in EB, before.

This happened to me awhile back, I did a clean install and now the icons for formations are vanilla again. Even if you reinstall eb over a old install of eb I think remnants of Lysanders formation pack (And other stuff) are left behind.

    -At least year 125BC
    -Hold 90 settlements
-Have at least 45 type2 settlements
    -Fight 400 battles
    -Have a general that is:

    ... hummm , yes ...

so that you have matched so heavy? … that is what the game is so heavy? … whenever I do clik on "end of season" , I can go to drink a coffee and to watch a TV film … is terrible what takes time in loading…

by others, the MOD is excellent, the voices of the soldiers in battle are brilliant (original languages of the original cultures ... nice ) … the music , is very beautiful… the 4 Roman ways of government, they are very good too … the only thing very well whom I do not like much is the campaign map (it seems me that he is too small , to lodge all the details that have put him… I I talk about to the small towns with their resources, for example)

… but I repeat the fundamental question: … that is what causes that the MOD is so extremely heavy? (… another MODs has thousands of similar modifications and they do not take as much time in loading the screens).

greetings and congratulations by the work, however, I liked very much ... hopefully you continue growing

P.D.: acclaration , my RAM have 512 MB ( but use 2,5 gigabites of hard drive free space , too ... called "virtual memory" , i think ) ... maybe this is a little RAM , my video card have a same RAM , 512 MB ... i repeat greetings

I think you are wrong here: EB contains more units, more traits, etc. than any other mod. The data files are enormous compared to vanilla R:TW, hence it takes so long to load. EB also makes extensive use of scripting to increase realism and difficulty, and this is very CPU intensive.

are you saying that the game is slow because of lack of cpu? I was under the assumption that it took up a lot of ram.

RAM is usually the major issue, though old CPUs can slow you down. Even with the newest, fastest computer out there, though, the game will still be slow due to the game coding.

… it seems to me brilliant … at no moment I said that the MOD was bad to have so many files … but the subject is not only to have but that the other , the subject is to do that a game is playable , i think …
and is an excellent work , this MOD and all the other MODs , a work that I do not do , of course ( hopefully I can help in something, someday ) … Merry Christmas
