Problems with installation

I just recently installed M2TW and patched to 1.1 and tried to install DarthMod. I get this error half way through installation:

"Unable to create this file:
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\DarthMod\Date\world\battle.txt.neo"

Help?

Hello Shottie.........sounds like you are installing DarthMod 1.3B or C. You need to install DarthMod 1.3D.

This was a similar problem a lot of us had when installing C over B. The problem has disappeared with D!

I fixed the first problem, I now have Darthmod 1.3d installed on my computer. Now I can't play it. The shortcut it added to my desktop (DarthMod Lite 1.3) doesn't work and when I click the M2TW icon it loads up the vanilla version, any thoughts?

Actually I found this too last night when I reinstalled MTW2....dont ask


1. Anyway go to your C:/Program Files/Sega/Medieval Total War 2 folder
2. Find Launch_DarthMod bat file
3. Right click and send to desktop as a shortcut.

This will work then!

I got it to work by using the MedManager. Not real sure how to work it comfortably but the mod works so I am happy. Thanks for your help Border Reiver and Darth your mod is fantastic, Im loving it!

Yeah I got a different problem as soon as installation begins it says

Unable to create file

C:/ Program Files/ Sega/ Medieval II Total War/ launch_darthmod.bat

i cant get it to load up any suggestions?
