hmmmmmmm² i don't know... if somebody plays this MOD and listens to the Athan before the battle he maybe thinks that it is a call for war????

what if he (the player) for example wents one day to Egypt for vacation and when he hears the Athan he then gets scared and run away.

The Adhan is the call to prayer. Not just any call to prayer, but mostly from the minaret of a mosque. It really has no place in a battle and I can't see anywhere else in a game it could be implemented. Sorry Ahiga.

I was unaware (call me ignorant) of it being the Universal Muslim call to prayer. I think some good Armenian chanting would be good, very, very old form of music.

I really think this song would be appropriate for the main menu, it is sad and has a longing tone, as if something has been broken. It is called Hayrenikis Djuruh by Ashugh Jivani, an Armenian composer.

Thanks. The song is about Armenia's water and how it is sweet or something. I know it has nothing to do with Broken Crescent , but since nearly nobody would understand it, I thought it sounded appropriate.

Armenian does not sound like Persian Armenian sounds like Armenian

Yeah she sings about the motherland armenia and its water
even though the music is really good, imo its not that good to have anyone singing i like soundtracks (just music) better... but u might cut it

btw Drtad, I dont find this song that sad

The Parthians did become either Persian or Armenian, generally and the Persians and Armenians have had a rocky but long relationship with much diffusion, so I would not be surprised to find Persian influenced Armenian words and Armenian influenced Persian words.

However, I don't think Persian and Armenian sound similar, but it is probably different from the outside.

I thought it had a kind of depressing melody. I thought it would be appropriate for the main menu, not in game. In game definitely should only be a soundtrack with no singing.

To my ears i didnt think it was a depressing melody, it was more of an calm and easy melody
Yeah to the main menu it could be used but still... i would prefer only music, if any kind of singing is supposed to used it should be chant or something... but thats just my opinion
    otherwise I liked the song

About the persian and armenian thing, Yeah its totally true... there are ALOT of words that are influenced from persian that ppl use in armenia and vice versa. But there is still huge differences between them so... and they dont sound similiar either as said

Until the issue of cultures is resolved, and when my studies are finished, I'll begin earnest work on the music file, if Mirage does not beat me to it. I am really hoping we can make new cultures, as it would let us split up the Muslims (It should be easy enough to make South Euro into a East Christian Culture, and North Euro into a Crusader culture), and give a richness in the difference of East Muslims and West Muslims. Got a lot of Iranian/Central Asian music to aid the former.

The Music will certainly work wonders in providing this beautiful atmosphere, and thanks to all for their contributions.
