Icon12 Install with the installer without extracting vanilla sounds?

    'lo all

I was just wondering: do I have to extract the sound pack files before using the xenophonia installer or can I apply it on an unmodded/unextracted 1.1 version of the game directly?

I ask that cause I read several times in these forums about possible problems with non-xenophonia factions losing their voices and sounds if you dont extract the vanilla sounds...

Or was it related to an older version of xenophonia?
Is it corrected in the current version?
    Thanks for help

The reason why you need to extract the sounds is because the installer cannot "add" files to the voice packs - it just packs them, so the files need to be added when the packs are unpacked. That's why you need to extract the files. Supposedly, we will be able to circumvent this in 1.2, but I don't know exactly how, and nobody knows when the patch will come, either. But it should be out soon, and once it's out, I'll do what I can to find out.
