Thread: Rampant red/grey flashing in campaign map

Default Rampant red/grey flashing in campaign map

Anyone know why I might be seeing a ton of this red/grey stuff flashing all over my map? Here's a screenshot of it:

As you can see, it's only occurring where there's no fog of war.

    Any ideas?

Well, here's a more detailed re-explanation for what's going on.

I took out my ground_types tga, reverted it back to two colors. shallow sea for water and low fertile for land. Now the blinking and flashing bits are gone. But I also did notice (and keep in mind I only have the English (red), Scots (blue) and Slaves (grey) in the campaign currently) that the only colors in the blinking/flashing bit are red, blue and grey. Also, when I move far enough left, my regions borders, which I asked about in another thread here, finally show up and the blinking/flashing issue disappears. But as soon as I scroll back far enough to the right, my borders disappear and the blinking/flashing issue pops back up.

Here's an example of the borders disappearing:

...but if I scroll up just a hair...

I'm just at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
