The crusades (not all the pics worked :/ But basically, the french helped me fight for Jerusalem but fled in both battles for it and eventually were chased off into the desert and executed. after i took the city, they brought me into a battle that had the following result.)

after that, I gifted byz 60K florins just so they can continue fighting egyptians where did I get so much money? I conquered Greece long time ago and have just vassalled (sp?) Poland 2 turns ago (they gave me around 200K)

SS 6.3 Eastern Roman Empire Campaign


The Basileus is running his empire from Thessaly as Constantinople is too dangerous.


This is why Constantinople is too dangerous, currently it is a warzone.


Despite the Jihad called on Constantinople we have made some territorial gains, mainly striking out against the Turks heartlands. Also notice the other Fatimid Jihad stack...


Even the Moors want a piece of Constantinople.

Also the stacks sitting outside Consantinople play to my advantage. The Fatimid Caliphate is at war with the Seljuks and thus cant get past there stacks, or attack them because they are on Jihad. Thousands desert every time. However more and more stack just seem to keep pouring out of the Middle East.

Well, one turn they have loads of units and next they dont...I assume it was deserters.

since when? and I've never seen it... instead I've seen AI crusades/jihads stacks stuck someplace for turns and they stayed in the same strength

Just screens from a few battles in my Leon campaign from 6.3, the first lot is from the battle for Ireland which went pretty well surprisingly

The next few are from the battle for Marrakesh which needed taking from the ever annoying Moors

The last lot are from my defence of Fes again against the Moors, it was definitley one of the most entertaining battles of the campaign so far. The first pic is just a pic of the general slaughter that occured after the Moors sent their Siege towers.

The second pic is the moment that won the battle when a mangonel barrel took out 2 full Moor units including the general.

Unfortunately with the battle won i decided to chase off stragglers with my General when a stray mangonel shot landed on his head.

Happend to me too often. Now I always disable fire at will on siege weapons, javelins or xbows when my generals unit is chasing routing enemy's.
