Alright, its a pretty shoddy drawing, but I think it illustrates the equipment of the Georgians/Armenians quite well. Now, I think NNMM's drawing is incredible; much better than this, but I think lammellar, upper-arm plates and bazubands (not to mention a lot of maile) fit the time period a little better.
    @IrAr

very nice scetch ! Very really and more close to historical !

Yes, I tried to depict the Eastern-Christian (meaning farther east than Byzantium) style of layering lots of armour. Shoulder plates, full-maile suits (with mask), lammellar with cuirass over it, conical helms, some scales, etc. If nothing else, those who wear it have to be pretty strong.

Of course, my illustration just serves as a set of guidelines.

I have tried to stay in the middle of the road: I didn't try to stray to far either way, and I feel I did well in at least that field. For example, he has a general (for the area) helm and a generally "Caucasian" (in the literal sense of the word) sword.

Dunno if you guys saw this already:

It an official screen from the upcoming Kingdoms Expansion. If you notice there is a new byzantine general unit in the pic.

I think that could give at least some idea of what could be done for eastern christian generals.
isn't that a bit too old?

Excellent work indeed Strelac One question did you have to draw all this by yourself?

Great skin, Strelac! Very detailed, truly impressive! One question, why the fleur de lis?

It generally symbolizes the kingly appearance, and it is not specific to either eastern Christian faction…however, if there a different symbol that can be used and it would equally represent the all three eastern faction, as well as being closely historically supportive, I would reconsider.

    maybe just a cross instead?

    thx

I believe a single, large cross should do the trick.

Great work indeed,I understand, this gave me an idea I may as well use the render method, and finally succeed to create a decent looking Teutonic Knight(with capes, winged helmets ahhh..God am I not obsessed with that )
    Again very nice work Strelac

...Holy crap. O_O. I mean, DAMN. This is just AWESOME! Normally, I'm not too big a fan of the open-faced helms, but I am in love with this model! Bravo!

    WOW!

Kingdoms ain't got nothing on you! That is truly amazing. I knew you'd be at your best for these specialist units. Truly, great work. I am almost inclined for you to do an entire general's bodyguard unit for the eastern christians (primarily georgia & armenia) based of this :hmmm:.

EDIT: Yeah, in agreement Irar, I think just a simple cross - perhaps an orthodox one? - would be great to replace the fleur.
